Where do you find the money to make your film?

There are ways to find money... but, before going to look for money there is an even more important question.  How much money do you really need to make your film? What are the costs of production? And post-production? Release prints?

As you have heard many low budget filmmakers made their first films with credit cards.  Many services and products you buy prefer to take credit cards, especially if you are dealing with out-of-town suppliers.  But, what if you credit is limited?

GRANTS

Because of censorship from the Republicans there is no longer any Federal money for filmmaking. And most states no longer offer funding for filmmakers. However, there are great web sites with comprehensive lists of Grants check out these out;

INVESTORS

Where do you find investors?  But first you got to have a business plan.  There are some web sites that will sell you a list of investors.  You can always ask friends and relatives?  And of course advertise.
