Welcome to Roy and Margaret Wagner's

"Winter is here ...."

After a very warm Fall, the cold weather didn't really get here until the first day of Winter and even then it was 67 degrees at 6 a.m. and dropped down to 30 degrees by evening here in Middleridge. We were in the Manassas Christmas Parade on December 5th with our Miata's top down. We then drove out to Maryland and waited in line til about 9 p.m. to drive through the Antietam Civil War Battlefield Park to view the 23,110 luminaries. All the time the top was down on the Miata.

There hasn't been much rain so the grass looking rather yellow in spots. Last night on December 23rd, it snowed so the ground is somewhat whie.

The boys are back from school. Brandt from James Madison University and Todd fromVirginia Tech. Brandt is still enjoying his "new" 1994 Mazda MX-3. (It only had 30,000 miles on it when he got it this summer.) Todd had a busy working as a team leader for RGIS, a company that does inventory audit for almost every major store you can name. He will be going with the Virginia Tech band to the Music City Bowl next week.

Margaret and I have been busy getting ready for the holidays and working. Roy is busy doing an Oracle conversion for the EPA Inspector General's office to give it Internet accessibliity. He is also doing other conversions to Microsoft Access databases. He is still learning Java and JavaScript at Ziff-Davis University, a low cost Internet way to take a variety of computing classes. Classes are ONLY $7.95 per month for as many classes as you want to take plus the cost of the book.

We continue to drive the scenic roads of Virginia and Maryland whenever we can with our top down. Check out the kinds of things that we do with our Miata and with our other Miata friends. The first week in January, the WHOLE Wagner family; Roy, Margaret, Todd, Brandt, Mom Morris and Dad Wagner will be going on a Western Caribbean cruise. Should be fun!

Our demanding cat (Watson) will be staying home in Fairfax, Virginia.
