Spiderweb Cupcakes

Perfect for a Halloween party, these rich, chocolaty cupcakes are fun to make.

1 package devil's food cake mix
1 1/3 cups water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
Red and yellow food color
1 tub Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy vanilla ready-to-spread frosting
1 tube decorating gels
48 licorice gumdrops

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups, or grease bottoms only of cups.

Beat cake mix, water, oil and eggs in large bowl on low speed 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly (do not overbeat); or stir 2 minutes by hand. Fill paper baking cups 2/3 full of batter.

Bake 18 to 23 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Cool completely.

Make orange frosting by stirring a few drops red and yellow food colors into frosting; frost cupcakes.

Squeeze circles of decorating gel on each cupcake; pull knife from center outward to make web. Use 2 gumdrops for each cupcake: to make spider, roll out gumdrop and cut out 8 strips for legs; place large gumdrop on top. Place spider on cupcake. Store loosely covered. Makes 24 cupcakes
