  
This is our squadron mascot .
His name is Prince Van BruDel.
He is a Keeshond.
He is very friendly and playful.
Keeshonds come from Holland where they lived on barges, riverboats,
and in family homes with there owners. Keeshonds have never been used
for anything but family companions and pets. They are very good with
children and make great friends for the whole family. But Prince ran
away to join the Marine Corps on November 4, 1994. After his basic
training he went to security guard school. He has made a fine security
force for the squadron and has attained the rank of Corporal. Because
of an early tendency toward unauthorized absences, which has been
corrected, Prince's quest for a good conduct medal has been a long
time coming. He was just recently awarded his first good conduct medal.
