I am starting this list because I have found these programs to be very useful.
Free. The first I have to offer is really neat. At least I think it is. This nice little program lives in your tray and lets you know when someone wants to talk to you. You can give a free 1-888 number and your ID number to friends. When they think you are on line and tying up your phone line they can leave you a message in audio or typed. Pagoo pops up to give you the message. Try it you'll like it. MTUSpeed greatly speeds up your Internet Browsing I don't pretend to know how this works maybe you do. All I know is I ran it and I can really see the conection speed difference. Try this one. Dunce automatically starts your Dial Up Network when you start your browser and will keep dialing your server until you get through . . . Automatically. It's Great!
Arachnophilia is a nice HTML editor with a lot of wizards. The Careware message of the author is something we should all think about. HomeSite 1.2 freeware is what I use. No tech support is available for this free version. But an excellent guide to the use of HomeSite 1.2 can be found here. I have add the three components of HTMLib to the task bar of HomeSite This is a great reference for learning HTML. It includes the main library, Tips n Tricks, and a color wizard. And again, it's FREE. A PowerToy from Microsoft. Allows you to check your webpage layout at different resolutions and color settings without re-booting your computer. Very nice. AppletFX gives you 20 free JAVA applets. The flag effect on my military and MIA pages is an example. To get your web site files to your server effortlessly I like this one. It is Free (for non comercial use) and it is easy to use. Now that you have your pages at your server, keep those links current and active with InfoLink Browser . . . Browser . . . Browser The browser war continues. But you must have a copy of both the most popular browsers to make sure your web pages look good for everyone. Or at lease as many people as you can.
