| During April the 10th continued to pound transportation targets. The Maymyo railroad sheds were bombed on the 1st, 4th, and 21st: railroad yards at Ywatsung were also hit on the 1st. Railroad targets at Thazi were hit on the 2nd, 16th, 20th and 27th. On the 3rd, 13th, 17th and 21st the Myitnge bridge was hit. The railroad yards at Pyawbwe and the oil fields at Thilawa were bombed on the 4th, with Thilawa being targeted again on the 15th. Railroad targets at Mandalay were hit on the 5th, 15th and 16th, with the warehouses at Mandalay added on the 23rd. Prome was bombed on the 5th and 15th, and the Mahlwagon yards and roundhouse were also attacked on the 5th. B24s hit the bridge at Pazundaung on the 5th and 17th, damaging the southern approaches both times. The 7th, 15th and 25th saw attacks on rail targets in Ywataung, with the Ye-u bridge across the Mu river getting knocked out on the 5th. Also on the 5th B24s hit Japanese HQ at Toungoo, and P40s hit ground targets north if Shinghbwiyan. On the 8th Airfields at Meiktila, Heho and Ft. Bayard were bombed or strafed, and stores at Nigam were hit. On the 12th the airfield at Magwe and supply dump at Walawbum were bombed. The airfield at Monywa was attacked on the 13th and 28th, and targets at Shaduzup were hit on the 13th and 23rd. On the 14th P40s using 1,000 lb bombs hit the airfields at Myitkyina and Manywet, and rendered the runways unusable. Bridges at Mogaung were bombed on the 16th and 19th with P40s doing serious damage on both occasions. Later on the 16th the bridge near Pinbaw was demolished by hits. Rail targets in Rangoon were bombed on the 16th and 19th, and the Sule Pagoda Wharves, also in Rangoon were hit on the 30th. On the 17th bridges at Kamaing and Namti were bombed, along with the town of Nanyaseik with a second mission against the Namti bridge destroying it on the 19th. On the 21st the Bangsue Arsenal in Bangkok was bombed by a force of 4 B24s. P40s hit positions out of Sarenghkyet on the 27th and on the 28th B25s attacked the docks at Monywa and river traffic in the Katha vicinity. The 7th closed the month by hitting the Gokteik Viaduct, Mohnyin and a camp near Weshi along with targets already mentioned.
During April the following unit movements were made:
On the 2nd, a detachment of the 25th Fighter Squadron moved from Sadiya to Jorhat, India.
On the 25th the 492nd Bomb Squadron (H) transferred from Bishnupur to Panagarh, India.
