| Weather was a key factor in severely limiting combat activities of the 10th during May, allowing only two actions: one on the 10th when P-40s bombed and strafed Kwitu and the other on the 11th when B-24s pounded Syriam causing severe damage.
During May the following unit movements took place:
The 490th Bombardment Squadron (Medium), 341st Bombardment Group (Medium) based at Ondal, India began operating from Chakulia, India with B-25's on the 20th.
HQ 341st Bombardment Group (Medium) and it's 490th Bombardment Squadron (Medium) transferred to Kurmitola, India. Group HQ transferred from Chakulia, India while the 490th, which was operating from Chakulia, India transferred with B-25's from Ondal, India, both on the 25th.
