During the month of June raids on Rangoon continued with missions on the 1st, and 4th. The raid of the 4th ended 2 months of harassing strikes as all bombers were grounded shortly there after as the monsoon season began. During June the 436th Bomb Group (H) moved from Karachi to Allahabad, the 11th Bomb Squadron of the 7th Bomb Group moved from Dinjan, India to Kunming, China. Enroute they bombed Lashio, but lost 9 aircraft when they crashed into an overcast hidden mountain, the remaining 2 aircraft reached Kunming, one with it's radio operator dead after a fighter attack.

On June 26th Brigadier General Earl L. Naiden assumed command of the 10th, as Major General Brereton departed for the Middle East along with Brigadier General Adler of X Air Service and several key subordinates and the 9th Bomb Squadron (H). The move left the 10th almost a skeleton force. On June 29th Colonel Robert C. Oliver assumed command of the X Air Service.

During June the 16th Fighter Squadron moved from Karachi, India to Kunming, China; the 11th Bomb Squadron (H) sent a detachment from Kunming, China to Dinjan, India; the 9th Bomb Squadron of the 7th Bomb Group departed India for Palestine; and the 11th Bomb Squadron sent detachments from Kunming, China to Kweilin, Hengyang and Nanning, China.
