I love my family! We have so much fun! We all live together in a little town called Nicholasville, Kentucky. I would like to take a few minutes to introduce you to them.

First, there's my Dad. His name is Pryce, and it was his idea to buy me. Well, to buy a ferret actually. You see, Pryce had just moved in with my Mom (you'll meet her in a minute), and he had always wanted a ferret. So here I am! Pryce works for the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government as a Public Service Worker, and he's darned good at it too! He's tall and blonde (I've since learned that word) and very handsome. He makes Mom very happy, and that makes ME happy. He's a great guy, too. He plays with me, and even lets me play in his clothes! He helps keep my little house clean, since I'm not much for housework. The neatest thing about Pryce is this: he asked my Mom to marry him! I hope I get to be in the wedding!

Next, there's my Mom. She's called Starr, and she's such a super lady! She bathes me, plays with me, lets me ride on her leg when she's walking, finds my toys for me, and she knows just where to scratch my head so I can fall asleep. Mom, Dad and Nicki at Natural BridgeI'm so happy that my Mom and Dad are getting married! They are such a cute couple... always hugging and kissing. Mom is blonde too, although she has to put this funny smelling stuff on her head to make it that way. She has pretty blue eyes, and she winks at me alot. I really love my Mom and Dad. Both of them volunteer their time with several charitable organizations to help them run projects for people in need. Mom is the Vice President of the Kentucky East Region of the March of Dimes, and works with a group called ACES (Association for Child Support Enforcement) which is free to those who need it. Mom also just ended her term as the President of the Lexington Junior Chamber of Commerce where she was rewarded by the National President for her outstanding work. Dad volunteers with the March of Dimes, ACES and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Parks Department (he helps build new playgrounds). They are quite a busy couple! But you know what they say, what comes around goes around... so that must be why they were rewarded with ME!!!

My beautiful Sisters, Jesse and NickiThen there's my sisters, Jesse and Nicki. Jesse is thirteen and very pretty. She has naturally curly hair (which she gets from Mom) and I love to climb through it! She plays this really loud gold metal thing that's called a "trumpet"... She's not bad, and she works on it very hard! She just joined up for the Jessamine County High School Marching Band, and she'll start in the fall as a freshman. Way to go Jesse! Jesse also likes boys, and sometimes I find a little love-letter hidden away in the pocket of her jeans, and I take it to Mom. Then Mom and Jesse have a talk... hmmm, I wonder what they talk about. Mom keeps all kinds of interesting stuff in her purse! Now, Nicki is a little bundle of energy! She's six, and she's the only one in the house that can keep up with me, and we have great fun playing "tag". We also like to play "hide and seek"... I hide her shoes and she seeks them! She's so cute and quite talented! She has begun to take an interest in Jesse's trumpet, and she tries her darndest to make music on it. You gotta love her for trying! I just love my sisters, they make alot of noise and distract Mom so I can get into things!

Cuddles, the beautiful CalicoAnd then, there's my buddies Cuddles, Ace and Jake. Cuddles is a big calico cat, and I have to admit she is very pretty although she doesn't like to play with me. Our kitty, AceMom says its because she's old, but that's okay... I love her anyway! Then there's Ace. He's a big black kitty who's real affectionate and playful! The neatest thing just happened regarding Ace (affectionately referred to as "Aceman" around here)... back in December, just after Christmas, Ace snuck outside. We searched and searched for him, but he was nowhere to be found. After about a month we had given up all hope of ever seeing our friend again. We are all so very sad at the loss of such a good and loyal companion. Then, at the beginning of April, one evening Jesse and Nicki were outside talking to the missionaries from church when up walked Ace! He climbed right up on the porch and meowed just like he'd never been gone. It was a tearful moment for us all. Me and Jake wrestling Our friend was home with the family who loved him. It's so good to have him back! Last, my bestest buddy Jake. Jake up to his best trick!Jake is a white 8 month old kitten, and he never gets tired of playing! As a matter of fact, sometimes Mom has to separate us because we like to run around the house and knock things over. Jake bats some of them around, while I hide the rest. We wrestle and run and romp until we both just fall over. By that time, Mom is usually ready to fall over too. She follows us around picking things up, you see... and there's ALOT to pick up! We also like to find a place to hide, so we can ambush everyone when they walk by. But even when Mom puts me back into my cage, Jake lets me out sometimes so we can play some more! That is so much fun! Yes, life would definitely be boring without my buddies.

My new little Sis, Scully And guess what I got for Christmas?!?! A new little sister! Her name is Scully, and she is just the cutest thing! I've been so busy teaching her all the proper ferret etiquette, such as sock stealing and candy hunting, and boy is she a quick learner! On her very first day in her new home she stole Mom's Christmas candy right out of her stocking! Between the two of us, we sure keep Mom busy!

UPDATE-2/01/97 Mom and Dad are now a happily married couple! Everything went great, and the wedding was beautiful. To read more about it, visit Happily Ever After!
