This is Tessa, age 8 1/2, running on the beach in January 2002.
Tessa
Chartwell Quicksilver Tessa SC FCh GRC
(DC Vale Vue's Stand Up N'Shout LCM x Ch. Silver Heels of Vale Vue SC LCM
III)
Bitch. Born: 7/1/93
Breeders: Ellen Bonacarti and Norma Sellers
Owners: Ellen and Patricia Bonacarti
Tessa is a large, substantial bitch at 31
1/2" and 92 lbs, but she has lovely light, fluid movement that is, as the standard
calls for, "easy, active and true". She also has beautiful breed type.
Unfortunately, Tessa has only been shown a handful of times due to a whelping accident
that left her with a short tail. This is a shame as, unlike her mother, she is a born show
dog with attitude to burn. At home, she is a perfect companion in the house, but she loves
to rough and tumble outside with Rory or Gordon. Her coursing career has been less than
illustrious compared to her siblings, as she learned to cut quite quickly, but she does
love to shred the lure (see above)!! In May of 2000, Tessa finished her LGRA Gazehound Racing Champion title, straight racing being her best event. Most importantly, Tessa is also my mom Pat's special favorite and
has been since birth. Here's a photo of Tessa celebrating her 10th birthday:
Gordon
Sungael Gordon Lightfoot
(BII NFC DC Chartwell Silver Run Valevue SGRC, ORC, LCM 6, VC x Ch.Sungael
Jemima)

Breeders: Arline Schiff and Karen Huffman
Owner: Ellen Bonacarti

Here are a couple of recent photos of Gordon...
Gordon is pictured here in December 2001 at 4 1/2 years old.
Gordon is pictured here in Georgia in December 2001 with his brother Ch.Sungael Rocketman. This was their first reunion since they were small and they were so happy to see each other!
Gordon came to us on Thanksgiving Day of 1997 and we are very thankful to live with this sweet, loving boy. He is especially dear to us having survived a life-threatening battle with tetanus when he was only four months old. Gordon's breeder, Arline Schiff, will be writing an account of her experience helping Gordon recover from tetanus, which you will eventually be able to read here. Tetanus is extremely rare in canines but you will find some general information on the disease here.
Spencer
Skyhigh Nimrod O'Jubalhil GRC
(BII NFC DC Chartwell Silver Run Valevue SGRC, ORC, LCM 6, VC x Ch. Highlander Annwn O'Jubalhil VCD2, VC)

Dog. Born: 7/27/01
Breeders: Deborah Cutter and Joan Shagan
Owner: Ellen Bonacarti and Deborah Cutter
Spencer is a handsome boy who resembles his sire in many ways. He loves straight and oval racing and has now finished his LGRA Gazehound Racing Champion (GRC) title and has 3 points in NOTRA racing. He is an extremely smart, sweet, affectionate and easygoing boy.
The photo below is of Spencer at four months old chasing the lure at a practice.
