Included here are photos (where possible) and other information about some of the Deerhounds in the pedigrees of my dogs as well as their relatives. The first five listed are littermates to Rory, Tessa and Mira from my "Silver" litter (so named in honor of their dam, Ch. Silver Heels of Vale Vue SC, LCM III). 4 generation pedigree for the "Silver" litter

Leah was the #1 ASFA and AKC Deerhound in 1994 and has been in the ASFA Top Five for five consecutive years. She is the #1 all-time lure coursing Deerhound bitch and among her many coursing wins are BIF at the Grande Prix Challenge Cup (first Deerhound to do this) and BOB at the Scottish Deerhound Club of America Specialty ASFA trial in 1997. Leah is the first LCM IV Deerhound bitch.
Owner: Pam White
Group-placing Hart was the #1 ASFA Deerhound in 1995. She was also pointed in LGRA and NOTRA racing. She died in February 2003.

Owners: Judy Butcher and Pam White
Dear Ali was in the ASFA Top Ten for 3 years before his untimely death stole him from us too soon.
Jemima's 4 generation pedigree
Jemima is the dam of Gordon and she is a National Specialty Award of Merit winner, group placer and Supported Entry BOB. She recently celebrated her 13th birthday.Rocketman's 4 generation pedigree
Rocketman is Gordon's litter brother. He was BOS in Sweepstakes at the 1998 SDCA National Specialty in his very first show and finished in April 2000 with 3 majors. He is making his mark as a sire with several beautiful litters on the ground.Picasso is from Rory's second litter out of Kathy Martin's Kasha. Like his sire, he is a fanatical lure courser and quickly finished his AKC Field Champion title with 3 Best in Field 5 point majors. He was also BOB at the first AKC Eastern Regional Lure Coursing Championship. He is an ASFA Field Champion and pointed in NOTRA, but has really discovered his niche in LGRA racing. In 2002, he finished his GRC in just 3 meets and finished his SGRC as well to end up the year with 33 National points and the #1 LGRA Deerhound.
Ariel is from the Rory x Caitlyn litter, and is bidding fair to outdo her parents in the title department! Not yet 2 years old, she already has her AKC TD, NA & NAJ, her ASFA FCh and her LGRA GRC titles, and is pointed in the show ring. At the 2003 SDCA National Specialty, she was High in Trial in obedience, finished her NAJ with a perfect score & first place in the agility competition, placed in both the ASFA and AKC coursing trials, and ran undefeated to win the first-ever Deerhound Specialty LGRA meet! In June, she ran undefeated to win the LGRA Nationals in Vermont. She recently became the second VCD1 Deerhound (after her dam Caitlyn).
Granola's 4 generation pedigree
Granola is my ideal Deerhound and I consider her to have been as close to perfection as any Deerhound has come. She was the dam of Jemima and was herself a National Specialty Award of Merit winner as well as a group winner, multi Best Veteran in Show winner and multi Supported Entry Best of Breed winner. She had it all- an outstanding temperament, sweet and funny personality, sound movement, flawless conformation, perfect breed type, and a long, healthy life. She died just before her 13th birthday.Grainger's 4 generation pedigree
Grainger was a littermate to Granola and the sire of Rosie. He was a large, impressive and athletic Deerhound.More About Chartwell | Hounds of Chartwell | The Scottish Deerhound | Deerhound Links | Other Interesting Links | Chartwell Whippets | Relatives | Deerhound-L
