Not a whole lot to say about Buddy. Grace found him in the middle of the road, apparently hit by a car. He lifted his little head every time a car "straddled" over him. She couldn't stand it & stopped. Not quite knowing what to do... Long story short, he's here at the ranch, hopefully recuperating, to be returned to the wild. Not sure if he'll make it. He's eating and drinking like a "pig" (don't take it personally, Wilbur & Hillary), but his back end seems to be paralyzed. He does urinate & defecate on his own, but there hasn't been much change in his back legs. He manages to climb around his pen and pull himself along the ground. Time will tell. Look for later updates on this little guy. |
