Balanced army (2000 points) - For tournaments, or variable enemies (e.g. Orcs) (2/0/0) Theory - This army has some of everything. I have used it successfully against enemies that can pick widely different army styles, like Orcs or Empire. It takes some skill to use, as you must try to get multiple units to charge the same enemy unit (like usual for elves), but it is pretty versatile. The general is for killing tough things, the hero for war machines, or other monsters. You can also swap his items for the Dragon Blade Lance, and Potion of Strength for 3 auto-hitting strength 9 attacks. You should be able to easily break missile troops without having to quaff the potion, its your choice really. Practice - I have not managed to get the white lions into combat either time. You need to have your infantry ready to defend you RBT, if the enemy do not shoot much then probably best to hold everything back to get as much damage as possible. Otherwise setup your RBT, and maybe the Seaguard to one flank, and have everything else storm up the other to engage his warmachines and shooters. If you have enough game-turns left, pulling back and NOT engaging in HtH can give you a good points win, as you can normally move fast enough to stay out of charge range. Using the Dragon Princes to screen my chariot (with their 1+ save they were immune to bows), and shooting the advancing ranks with Seaguard and RBT until charging at close range seemed to work very well.
