Flying defensive army (3000 points)          - flyers for fast attack            (2/1/2)

Theory - Shoot everything that moves.  Flyers to attack war machines, and other flyers.  By then remaining enemy may be in charge range, so return for flank attacks.  I tried a few different mixes of HtH infantry, so this is a generic style that I seemed to remember using.  The main thing is to get your fliers into anything that will kill your shooters ASAP.

Practice - Success was about 50/50, partial as I was still learning rules at this stage, and the opponents I fought.  It worked wellish, but as Manticores are not worth while now, its hard to field toughness 7 flying monsters.   Main problems are fast moving armies, and high Toughness or wound units.  This is basically a tad too fragile if the enemy has the right combinations to shut you down, but it is an easy to use elf army.
