Death Calvary (2000 points) - 90% HtH cavalry army (1/1/0) Theory - Near Invincible unit of fast moving HtH fighters. Charge, Kill, Win. The first time I tried this it was a 3000 point game, and that stiffened up the big Dragon Princes unit a bit more, and allowed more support troops. The 2000 point game meant some cut-backs as the cavalry unit has certain needs that will suck your points. Practice - Mixed results. There isn't much to setup, find a hill or cover, get as close as possible to your first target and hope you get to go first, then charge. I kicked some the first time around. The 2000 pointer didn't have enough support to tie up his war-machines, and that meant I had to take cover behind hills more = slower into combat. I got hurt by a big nasty dragon, and could make it into combat quick enough to engage his general. In the end the time factor came into play, so I was going to conceded, as there would be alot of manoeuvring for best position. My opponent also agreed that things were looking dodgy for him too, and was happy to call it quits. Worth trying at least once, as its great fun charging and routing unit after unit! NOTE : The front rank has 15 attacks attacks, banner of might means against rank-n-file, you should only need 2's to hit and 2's to wound. That's averaging 12 kills, plus 3 ranks and 2 banners (1+ armour save) should mean you win combat by at least 10 every time :-)
