This, perhaps, came from some genetic wood to tree bonding. Just like it's distant cousin, the Common American Badger, which burrows into the ground for its habitation, the Large Wooden Badger prefers to live under the ground. Strangely enough, the Large Wooden Badger is an excellent climber but is not very adept at digging because of its lack of an opposable thumb.
