There is an ancient Thai verse which describes the close and intimate bond between the King and his people as follows : "The people are happy because the King is happy and prosperous."
Today under the present benevolent reign of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the ever fastening tie between the King and the people may be referred as below :
"The King is happy because the people are happy and prosperous."
