Who We Are

SAVES, Inc. is a small group of cat lovers located in Greenport, NY. We formed to raise the general public's awareness of the plight of homeless cats. By applying the proven trap-sterilize-release method, responsible caretakers/trappers stop the breeding in colonies that already exist where homeless cats have discovered a food source.

What We Do

SAVES, Inc. promotes low cost spay/neuter programs to prevent feline overpopulation and the formation of new colonies. SAVES, Inc. holds free neuter clinics many times each year .Low cost spay/neuter vouchers are available for $45.00 which also includes all vaccinations. SAVES, Inc. also provides cat food and shelters to people who cannot afford them.

How We Do It:

SAVES Inc. does its invaluable work through:

Donations from both public and private sectors

Monies from donation cans placed at local business throughout the area

Fund raising events

Direct Mailings

Small City Grants

Sale of Note Cards

Sale of T-shirts

MOST IMPORTANT IS THE GENEROUS COOPERATION OF THE LOCAL VETERNARIANS AND THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HANDLE THE AFTER CARE OF THE FELINES.

All funds raised are used solely for the cats. S.A.V.E.S., Inc. consists of volunteers only.
