Components

In this section schematic symbols for various components are given, as well as brief descriptions of their purpose in electronics. I try to put in as many schematic symbols for each component as possable, to show all the different ways of representing a component. Also included are water analogies for some of the components, but it is hard to make analogies to some because water and electricity are two very different things. They are included to help people visualize how the component functions, and I will try to make them work as close to the electrical component as possable. But do not just read the analogie and assume the electrical component works the same way, because for many of them they do not. So don't rely on analogies to help you in constructing electrical circuits, or plumbing for that matter! But if you try hard enough you might be able to construct a small water powered curcuit... When looking at the analogies remember that voltage is like the pressure of the water, and current is like the amount of water flowing.
