CLIMATE
Average annual rainfall at Suphan Buri FCRC
has ranged from 635 to 1586 mm over the last 26 years. Generally, the
rainfall distribution pattern is bimodal which has 2 peaks. The first
peak appears in May when the early rainy season started. The second
peak is in September which is the wettest month of the year with an
average rainfall of 246 mm.
Both 1993 and 1994 were two of the driest years
on record (25 years) with annual rainfalls of 643 and 635 mm,respectively.
The rainfall of these 2 years were about half the average annual rainfall
(1116 mm) and the peak rainfall occurred in the month of September,
being 141 mm in 1993 and 166 mm in 1994. The rainfall in 1994 was better
distributed than in 1993 as shown in graph.
