The western strip of the Riviera Ligure,
next to the Italian border with France , is best known as Riviera
dei Fiori.
The province of Imperia, which it belongs to,
it's half mountanious and half hilly. The climate, consequently, can vary
greatly: mild along the sea, even in the middle of winter;
cold and variable in the alpine area. Although vineyards and olives
are a tipical resource of these places, fresh flowers are one of most important
sources for this province, if you think that it accounts for two thirds
of the world's production. Very important is tourism
which also brings revenues, with internationl fames seaside towns
such as Sanremo, Bordighera and Ventimiglia.
I feel fond on this places because thy are my summer vacation's scenarios
since I was born. Every year I get the oportunity to meet friends and relatives
( my mom's family comes from here) and because they are assencially beautiful
places!!!!
