Games of the Past

Oerth Fighter For gold and glory, dozens of fighters have converged on Greyhawk to compete in a martial arts competition like no other. The rules are simple: battle unarmed and with non-lethal force in the Arena of Greyhawk. No magic may enter, save that which the fighters conjure within. And no spells which can be directly damaging...
Elf Game The texts of Myrendell detail several attempted mind flayer invasions at different points throughout Oerth's history. Within the narrative is a message to contact the Elven Armada when the illithid attempt this again... The clues point to a journey made only by elves to Simril Grove on the moon where they are to contact the "Lil". At the center of the grove will be Starlight's Hope...
The Illithid War An inhuman host of mind flayer have set their sights upon Oerth. Their goal, the destruction of all civilization and the enslavement of all sentient life. And to accomplish this task, the illithid have already telepahtically comprimised and manipulated leaders of nearly every nation on the planet. It is time for all creatures of Oerth to band together for their very survival as a species...
Tower of Illusion A four year old little girl was kidnapped from the Mage's Guild of Greyhawk. The kidnapper left a note for the child's mother to meet him in the Bright Desert at an ancient site of power. Oh, yes, the kidnapper claims to be from a future which no longer exists...
Voyages of the Blessed Harmony A band of adventures has returned from aiding the Medegian goddess, Harmonia. Under her penant, these travellers set sail to chart the islands of the Crowded Sea and explore the Land of Fate.
War in the Highlands Nine years ago a group of adventures removed an evil warlock from power after his failed attempt to steal an artifact. Less than a year later, that lord's lands fell to inhuman invaders. The marauders ravaged the Highlands, leaving the nation vulnerable to the avarice of its southern neighbor, the Great Kingdom. Now, rebellion has nearly returned the country into Baklunish hands...
Mortal Kombat Oerth Fighter returns but this time the rules are slightly different. Weapons and armor are allowed although magic items are not. Via a new spell devised for these games, non-lethal combat is possible. To the victor go gold and glory and the adoration of Greyhawk.

Temple of Posideon

(low level)
(set in Eastern Greece/Western Arabia)

Xena recovered the Girdle of Denoria from the temple but Shellique wants to reclaim the place in the name of her god. Most of the monsters are dead, the teenage druid just wants to finish the job. She thinks 1/2 of all treasure found should be given back to the faith (it is, after all, their stuff, otherwise we're just temple robbers and good and/or lawful people should have a problem with that). The other 1/2 could be a "clean out" fee, split amongst the party. Currently on the game is: Xena the Warrior-Priestess of Athena (cleric 4th), Vladimir Drake (mage 3rd), Sheshe (alchemist 3rd), Shellique of Posideon (druid 2nd), Nikos "the one-armed wonder" (fighter 2nd), Allyrion of Zeus (cleric/mage 2nd/2nd), Akira (fighter 1st), Harada of Raidan (cleric 1st). Room for one more player!

Undersea Salvage

(medium-high level)
(undersea tropics)

A coalition of elves has sought out the most powerful marine party they could find to recover an extremely powerful magical item in exchange for a Wish. The catch? Well, the Wish is only available AFTER the item is recovered and rumor has it the thing is guarded by scrag, merrow and a kraken. Ouch! Planned for the game are: Captain Raitan Drake (mariner 8th), Tetsuko no Kuwahara (kensai of the katana 9th), Rachel Windseeker of Mannon Mac Lir (druid 8th), Rufus (mariner 6th), Alderan Arrowflight (archer/mage 6th/6th), Ichthyus of Posideon (cleric 7th), Vladimir Drake (mage 3rd -- yeah, same guy), Rosh the lizard man (fighter 3rd), D'mitrius the merman (cleric 2nd). Since a group of very powerful and influential elves is putting this game together, discovering, locating and transporting characters is NOT a problem.

Assault on the Underdark

(medium-high level)
(the Underdark)
(long campaign)

Lolth's avatar on the Oerth is dead. Her priestesses are fighting for their lives. Her empire is facing its greatest challenge. Ghaunadaur, the Elder Elemental God, is looking to tip the scales farther. He promises great power and perhaps even a boon for those who take up his cause. Meanwhile, both Pope Hazem and Mirquin of Corelleon agree that the goal is worthy enough. Meanwhile, a party is heading for the Abyss to deal Lolth yet another blow. Acting as their rear-guard and working to crush the minions of the Spider Queen in Erelhui-Cinlu are: Arianna Devinshire, Rufus, Tasha Whiteblood, Vladimir Drake, Raitan Drake, Carnellia and Melkin, Boodan, Allyrion Anjelyse, Elderan, Gundar (Gunny) Mountainspine, and Ael'Mara Saes.

City of the Draconians

(medium-low level)
(Cairn Hills)
(long campaign)

The draconian plans to attack the southern shores of the Nyr Dyv failed. Time for a group of adventurers to figure out exactly what's going on and put a stop to these other-worldly minions of Tiamat. Sponsored by the White Circle of Ningal (could you take care of a certain cleric of Erevan Ilserie while you're at it?). The adventure will include getting to the city (somewhere near the Neen Falls in the Cairn Hills) and thoroughly exploring the lair of the draconians. Currently slated are: Balthazar "Zar" Coven (fighter 6th), Bethany Drake of Bahamut (witch 3rd), Prince Garlok Drake of Amberwood (fighter 5th), Zandra (fighter 4th), Artec (archer 6th), Beulla (fighter 4th) and maybe Xena the Warrior-Priestess of Athena (cleric 4th) and/or KickingBlackBirdRobe (shaman 5th). The party could use a mage, a thief and maybe another cleric/druid/shaman/witch; talk about being fighter-heavy!

Here, they uncover the secret to re-entering the Land of the Sidhe in order to complete an important quest for the future of Oerth.

Past World

(low level)
(open-ended game)

This novel game was a chance to see Oerth of 55 years in the past. The idea of the campaign was to play in the world of yesteryear, interacting with the parents and grandparents of existing PCs, dealing with (current-world) luminaries before they were quite so important, and exploring the recent history of the campaign world. Among others, the party adventured with a neophyte wizard named Tenser (6th lvl) and explored the Cairn Hills before they were overrun with monsters. The DM will do EVERYTHING in his power to prevent paradox. Otherwise, the game was built on the idea of looking around and having fun in an age before Amberwood, Klarr, the Highlands, etc. Ultimately, however, the party went through a portal, got stuck on the world of Torsh and were turned to stone, only to pick again in the present, and morphing into the Torsh party,
