Being
Fit and Beautiful What makes you beautiful, or What
is beauty? That is the question of all times.
What about this question: "How do you feel about
yourself?" We often hear the saying "Beauty is in the
eyes of beholders". Some are born beautiful.
Others do not have that beauty. That is why we
have these adjectives "pretty", "sexy",
and so on. Cosmetic surgeries are now too common
and can make anyone look "beautiful".
Just think about it a little bit. No one wants
to be liked just because of a few body parts. But,
as we age our beauty will change. If
that's all you have then in a few years where will you be? The most important
things are attitude, self-confidence, and intelligence. What it all comes down
to is the old cliche. If you think you look good, then other people will too.
God has given each person only one own body. What is important is being healthy and keeping fit. My advice is find the time at least three times a
week to exercise. Spend two hours per week to read a new book at the library or
the bookstore. Take the stairs at work instead of using the elevator that
helps a lot. Cut back on carbohydrates. Don't eat too much sugar or fattening foods. Try to do everything in
moderation. Again, I said MODERATION in everything you choose to do ( eat,
drink, say, or think). Keeping fit takes a lot of discipline at first but if you make it
your normal routine then you will have more energy and feel much better about
yourself. Once you are into it, it is like a part of your life. It is important
NOT to compare yourself with the models you see on
TV. We are all shaped differently and some of us are naturally big boned. No
matter what size frame you have we all can keep healthy and strong by eating
right and a little exercise.
Another important ingredient to being a whole person is spiritual fitness as
well. Find a belief or a faith that would nurture your spirituality, help you to handle stress and grow your strength throughout a lot of difficult
times. Please don't misunderstand as spirituality does not necessarily involve a religion. However, it
would benefit you and your loved ones if you have a religion, a principles or a
belief that you have faith in. It is good to keep yourself and your life,
including work and family/personal, balanced. If you are missing a religion
or faith then your balance is a bit off and some may start to ask themselves
questions like "what's the purpose of my life?" People without religion have a
higher chance of having mental breakdowns. After all, it is a healthy
lifestyle.
So those are my two cents on being fit and beautiful. You may agree or not
agree. But I always love to listen to ideas and inputs and hope to learn
more from y'all. Thank you and have a lovely day.
