These are those long bunches of text written
individually.
In order of appearance in the journal....
Treasurer's Profile of 4/12 (Part I)
...... we shall start with my very own group.......
0
Eunice Yeo : Potential Miss Sandman to
be involved in SLEEP all the time.
Excellent bone structure, not surprising since they are constantly at rest.
Characterized by blue and green TATTOO sweater which looks like pyjamas
anyway. (Hey! Why does everything about her involve S_ _ _ _ )
Favourite Movie: While i was Sleeping.
Cheryl Chan : Potential candidate for most spastic
person on earth with her "gei2 wo3 yi4
dian3 chi1 de4 ba4" expression and saliva drooling out of her mouth
consistently. Of course, you would not see the saliva until it lands on
your shoe
(the lowest part of yourself) due to some vertical problems. Also, beware
of
this bootlicker who constantly sucks up to the English and Lit teachers.......
Angeline Soh : A bright future in the sound engineering
line as an amplifier. Please take note
that this amplifier can never be turned down. It remains at a constant
LOUD
and blaring volume! When doing anything that does not involve noise, she
turns
off immediately, becoming a stoner.
Favourite brand of clothes: STONES.
Olivia Tan : Future ambition to become an omelette,
sunny side up, baring teeth and
constantly hopping up and down. A hyperactive egg indeed! This little egg
also
has plans to marry a human being named Aniki Ching whom 'it' claims to
be the
most handsome guy on earth.
Favourite Song: Oh dear, what can the matter be? (not surprising since
eggs don't
have matter.) <--they dont?-syn
Evangeline Poh : Simply .... Perfect! (Gag!)

Mindy's Entry
9.4.96 0
Dear Journal,
People nowadays only know how to vandalise, but they never write proper
entries. Tsk, tsk. So I shall try my humble best to write something proper
and intellectual, in line with my wonderful image.
First, my elbow hurts because I scraped it on the pavement yesterday. (Oh
oh. I can already see that this entry is degenerating.) You know why? 'Coz
we found a dog in my estate called Name ('cause he had no name - gettit,
gettit?) and he kind of pushed me down and i scraped my elbow.
Second, do you know I actually went for Air Rifle yesterday?! I hate Air
Rifle. it is really, really, really, really, really, etc. boring. I hate
it so much I've forgotten why I joined it. And my stupid teacher
wants us to make up for not going; and you know how many times I've not
gone, right? Sigh. i feel like breaking my finger so I'll be excused permanently.
not that it makes much difference to my accuracy whether I shoot with my
healthy finger, a broken finger or my toe.
Whoops! Mrs kwan is here for AAARGH A Maths. Gotta run!

Dear Journal,
I'm trying to learn from Mindy by entering a proper journal entry. Cindy
is blabbering about dogs next to me. Having Chinese again. Stupid lesson.
They should abolish Chinese. Got test tomorrow. Sigh. let Cindy take over....
OVER TO YOU CINDY!

Nat's Entry
100496 0
Hi everyone!
Nat here....we
just had Chem prac....made esters! Don't worry, those who weren't there
for prac., you didn't miss much... All we could smell was the "banana"
one... the rest all smelt basically of nail polish remover... It's geog
now, Mrs Yap is wearing her "patch"-dress... We're doing the stupid popn
pyramids now... i think doing geog is dumb. Come to think of it,
studying is dumb... I mean, how is dy/dx gonna help me when i grow up?
It's not like I'm gonna measure the gradient of the slope that I'm gonna
climb, or something...hmm...well, I shouldn't depress myself thinking about
it... I don't understand these pyramids...arghh...

Dawn's paranthesized take on the trend
p11/4/96 0
Hi journal, hi 4/12!!
The Geog Sentosa thing just had its deadline extended to the 20-something
of April, courtesy of mrs Yap. It's still Geog (i.e, Thursday Geog) and
Mrs Yap is now in that funny blue thing of hers. Apparently, we're doing
migration next week, which she (Mrs Yap) says will involve a small sketch
(whatever that may turn out to be). I'm not lookin' forward to it at all.
And Nat's got a point too. Will I go to New York City when I'm grown up
and say, hey, urban migration is taking place here? Noooo. Will I ever
have to calculate (uh, figure out) the chemical composition of the Great
Wall of China? No, no and nooooooo. Lower Chinese (uh.CL2, dat is) prelims
in 9 days time, ya ready yet? (Ha, stooopid question). I'm just ramblin'
in black (a colour greatly reflective of one's mood), which everyone seems
to have a huge tendency towards using lately.... (ref. page before
this)
Yipes, Miss Yeo's here threatening us with some subversive article. Gotta
goooooo.... Over to >>somebody else...<<

Talkg Point is having this Migration
Thin' --apparently
America's isn't welcoming many immigrants...hmmm

An Open letter to my not-so-tolerant
class
(done on Federal company paper as usual)
0
Dear class,
It sorta came to my attention that you all are mad at me. About Jonathan
Pflug. (Why? He's so adorable & lovable!) Anyway, since you can't get
me to shut up about him, maybe it'll help if you learned to like him. (you
will, he's too ke3 ai4)
0
maybe i should start on something else....

I LOVE KENNY PERREIRA!
Luv, MINZ.

Darling Poach
You're totally amazing & spastic but I love you anyway. Thanx for putting
up with me for the last 4 yrs. I especially appreciate the hunt for a certain
gentleman's house at Grange Rd. You're good. Think of me at HCJC. But if
you get the PM Book prize in 1999 & I don't, I'll hate you. How now
I'll just miss you.
Luv, minz.

Epilogue
o
hi everyone. joanne
here. sitting in class on 21/10 (if my watch still works, that is), on
a monday, 6.45am. its the last day of school and funny thing is : nobody's
around. normally dawn's around, but i think you all have done a funk on
me and all not come to school. hmph. hateth u. and i'll have to clean the
whole bloody class by meself. yuch. mebbe i shd go b4 mrs chan pops in
and makes me clean the toilets too. uggh. *shudder* so where is everybody
going? (figuratively) soon, in a matter of weeks, our classroom is going
to be very empty. as in (ooo everyone's here now) we are all going our
separate ways, to start another new chapter of life. what will fill out
class ever again? as i look at it, a picture of dust and gloom, soon to
be less than a shadow in our memories. i mean, look at it, how many of
u actually remember all ur primary school mates (with fondness, of course).
soon, we'll all have to start scrubbing the area, erasing every trace of
out ever being here. can we then say that we, as a group, 4/12, have left
our mark around? *sigh* *depression sets in* after scrubbing
and sterilizing and dehumanizing our area... our area which we have
had so many fond memories and experiences... our area which we have changed
and "evoluted" thruout these years... its like a dog sniffing over its
property, then knowing it by the familiar smells of it. ok, maybe im exaggerating
a leetle bit. but very soon, and i can see it looming and hulking nearer,
out of the corner of my eye, the dreadful sterilization that will befall
our beloved class. will be let our dreams, memories, fragile memories be
washed away, by deluges of water? plain, old, physical water? for no! we
will not! we will stand firm, and once the dirt and grime is washed away,
our hovering dreams shall settle peacefully oer the class, and will forever
be there. the next class, the next 4/12 shall feel our shadow hovering
still around, and shalt be comforted by our presence. and they will
tread lightly, and carefully in this hallowed class, for, they will be
treading on our dreams.
Joanne
