Karen Robards lives a lively life. Besides writing 22 novels, she's a wife and mother of three and the keeper of a sizable animal menagerie. She makes her home in 100-year-old home in Louisville, Kentucky. She early books were mostly historicals, but in 1993 she wrote her first contemporary. With his investigation blown, Will decides that Molly is his best chance to solve this case. With Will pretending to be her boyfriend, Molly wasn't thrilled but the promise of five thousand dollars after the investigation was over and the relative safety of the entire thing, she agreed to help him out. But Molly's feelings become involved and Will becomes more a part of her family. But even after they've solved the investigation, they still have a monster to deal with who strikes again after thirteen years. Summer McAfee hated cleaning Harmon Brothers Funeral Home by herself. But when her supposed employees don't show up, again, she's stuck. Because she needs their business. Although she was once a glamorous model she worked hard to build Daisy Fresh Janitorial Service and was proud of the job she was doing. Already a little freaked out, Summer can't believe when one of the corpse's come alive. Like something out a Stephen King novel, Frankenstein, the not so dead, dead guy, takes Summer hostage. Summer and Frankenstein, who turns out to be the notorious Steve Calhoun, are chased by several men with big guns. The men turn out to be corrupt cops and they want Steve dead and anyone who's helping him. Summer, Steve and Muffy the dog flee for the lives through the woods. Now with a little help from a ghost the two must stay alive long enough to tell the good cops about the bad cops. Through all of this Steve and Summer manage to fall in love and learn that no matter who they are love sees past all boundaries.

A week with her fourteen year old daughter, Rory. That's all Lynn Nelson wanted. They were drifting apart and Lynn thought that the camping trip with her daughter's classmates might bring them together. But Rory hated having her mother hanging around and pushed Lynn further away by lusting after their hunk of a tour guide. With having to deal with a temperamental horse, the sweltering heat, and the much too sexy Jess Feldman, Lynn decided that she was having the worst time of her life. But Lynn, Rory and Jess were in for a surprise, when the rocks fell out from under Lynn and Rory and they went sliding down the mountain side. Jess climbed down and saved them but they weren't out of woods. Literally. They would now have to hike through the forest for two days in order to get back to civilization. As they make their way to safety they come across a grisly murder and almost become the next victims. On the run from the killers, Jess, Lynn and Rory must not only save themselves but they learn that they're not the only people in danger. The must stop a madman from killing thousands and possibly millions of people. And through all this Jess and Lynn find that love can indeed conquer all.
