Captain Shaylah Graymist loved to fly, that was the reason she continued with the Coalition. A decorated hero, she'd seen the terror and destruction reeked on planets not wanting to join them and she seen what they did to the people of those worlds. They made them slaves. She hated the practice but didn't believe there was anything she could do. That was until she met a slave called Wolf. Wolf was a rare gold collar slave. What that meant was that he a controlled completely by the person who possessed his control unit. He could be made to think that what his controller wanted was what he wanted, he could be caused the most incredible pain and he could be killed with one button. Shaylah knew all this and couldn't believe that he had retained so much of himself after five years of slavery. But gaining his trust, took time. And once they'd become friends, Shaylah made a mistake and broke Wolf's trust. When she learned that Wolf had been sent to the worst place possible, Shaylah does everything in her power to rescue him and make him healthy again. Know the two must come to terms with their feelings and decided what to do with their lives. |

Califa Claxton had been a loyal servant of the Coalition. But that was before they put a gold
collar on her and made her a slave. They did this as punishment because another gold collar slave, named Wolf, had
escaped. Califa was determined to live the rest of her life as her friend Shaylah had always lived hers, being a good
person. Even if that meant being a slave. That was before the famous skypirate, Dax, swept into her cell and rescued
her along with his crewmember. Dax knew how cruel the Coalition was but it was hard to even believe they would
do this, enslave one of there own. But they had and it was still hard for him to trust Califa. But as they work together
Dax and Califa learn they aren't all that different and that love is the all powerful weapon.
