Animals and Monsters

A worm named Sapple

There once was a worm named Sapple
he lived inside an apple
life was sticky and sometimes brown
but Sapple never had a frown

Sapple had all the food he would need
with that apple he never had to plead

Sapple had a great life
until a little boy ate the apple
and along with it was a worm named Sapple

At The Bottom

At the bottom of the sea
There was a time there used to be
You could travel there for a small fee
If you could search and find the key.

The key on the crust of the ocean
locked there to vast samples of tin
kept the dolphin away from his fin
and was the place Galan Zish lived in.

The Galan, you know is a disastrous fish
serves fishermen by hundreds, on a dish
swallowed them whole while they acted foolish
He laughed and said "You now belong to Galan Zish."

To this day Galan lives near
those who remember the fishermen shed a tear
for many die, every year
All at the bottom of the sea here.

Ants

Ants
I like ants
Except for when they do that stupid dance
Ants
Ants
They seem to have fun
Even though they never walk, only run
Ants
Ants
They're kinda dumb
all they do is steal a crumb
Ants
Ants
They live under a bush
I really like it when the go "squish"

The Gigantic horrible ugly green thing

It comes at night
and gives a lot of fright
it's the scariest thing you ever saw
that big black monster on the wall
and when you got to sleep
it will surely creep
it steals many things like toys, and diamond rings
so if I were you, I wouldn't go the sleep
or you might get eaten
by the gigantic horrible ugly green thing

The attack of the homicidal mutant mean fly who
ate corn flakes on alternate Thursdays and only
wore ties around his nose when flies buzz in your ears.

Once there was a fly
who only knew how to spell y
the end.

-Mark

Goldfish

What do goldfish do all day?
Do they ever play?
Why do they swim up and down?
Isn't there anything to be found?
Wouldn't being a fish be a bore?
Do they ever wish to soar?
Why do they wonder if they'll drown?
Are they happy in that slimy skin?
Do they wonder how to get out of this prison they're in?
Do they have a wife or mother?
Or do they ever call their brother?
Do they have a life to live?
Do they know how to forgive?
I would like to tell you something before I'm done:
A fish would answer these either "Yes" or "cause it's fun"
-Mark

The Animal

I'll tell you the story of the animal at camp
it has the strength of a lion and the looks of a tramp
it lives in a river and it make young kids and old men shiver
there was never a kid that came back from his cave
never saw any hints of survival, a yell, or even a wave
no one had gone in there - not Joe, Tommy, or Ted
Until one day they sent Freddy in
and the thing that was in there was the counselor Quan ye Chin.
