Joelle and her son, Chris

In case you haven't guessed, SandDancr is not my real name. It is Joelle. The name SandDancr evolved in time as I became a member of the online community. Living at the beach for many years and loving dance, the choice seemed apropos. I was born in Paris, France, but have lived in the States since I was 2. I spoke only French, until a neighbor who happened to be a Pappago Indian, taught me my first English words..... "Where Pappa goes, Mamma goes" ! Cute, huh?

I am divorced, over 40....ok, I'll be honest ...almost 50 ! ......and have a super neat son, Chris, who is 23, and happy as a clam.....doing his own thing. Surprisingly, I am finding that being almost 50 is a wonderful time in life. The chick-a-dee has left the nest, so I have the time to do some of the things I want to do. And....I'll soon be able to qualify for AARP and get lower prices on travel!! What more could I ask for?
UPDATE!!!! I am 50....and I DID get a great deal on a trip...so will be off to Beijing, China in March of 1999!!!! I can't wait!! Imagine....setting foot on the Great Wall of China, entering the Forbidden City and all the other fascinating things there are to see and do! Stay tuned, I'll be sure to take scads of photos.
I've lived in a variety of places.... Sacramento, Ca., Winterhaven, Florida, San Antonio, Texas, Washington, D.C., Kenosha, Wisc., San Francisco, spent 5 years in Landstuhl, Germany, Wilmington, NC and currently reside in Raleigh, NC, having been transferred two years ago. I'm a LAN Administrator for a large east coast Bank, currently attached to their Mortgage Division.
Like Mother Hubbard, who lived in a shoe.....I have so many interests, I don't know what to do! Life's too short...so I squeeze them in as time permits. Music is a passion....as is reading, Ballroom Dancing, computing, travel, gardening, genealogy, and all manner of arts and crafts...building miniature houses (one twelfth inch scale), faux painting on walls and furniture, woodworking, oil painting, sewing, hiking, fishing, etc., etc., etc.
I also have a large collection of seashells that I scatter on beaches around the world....perhaps you've seen them?     (hehehe)!!!!
My most recent hobby is this web site. I took the opportunity to learn about HTML and develope my interest in graphics...having been an avid web surfer for several years. As the site evolves...changes will be ever present...so I hope you enjoy and will come back to visit occasionally. Please take a moment to also visit my Graphic site... SandDancr Studios , where you'll find some interesting and unique FREE graphics for your web site.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to understanding
with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are never, ever the same.

I sincerely hope I have left mine.......
