MTV announced the nominees for its annual Video Music Awards show (September 10, 1998), but Paul Hunter did not receieve any nominations. Queen Latifah's mega-video for Bananas/Paper were directed by Paul Hunter. The video is actually a double length video: two singles, two halves of the video that can be each played by itself or played together as one video. The first half, Bananas, is often played on Rap City by itself (because it's a rap song). Bananas/Paper features guest appearances by actor Tommy Davidson and Pras from The Fugees.
