The early lineup with John Wetton on lead vocals and bass guitar, Carl Palmer on drums and percussion, Steve Howe on guitars and vocals and Geoffrey Downes on keyboard and vocals.
I do not believe that Astra is as unpleasant as most people think. It doesn't seem to be as energetic and beautiful sounding as Arena, but it certainly isn't mediocre. The pop songs are very pleasant, although not quite as polished as they are on Alpha, or Asia.
