BOOK ONE: 1985-1989 - THE TEMPLE OF EVIL ELEMENTS

Chapter 1: Sir Godfrey

Ten characters arrived separately at evening in the village of Hommlet, seeking adventure and carrying cash but no equipment. The trading post being shut, they lodged at the Welcoming Wench Inn (the only inn) for the night. The next morning, four of the newcomers departed the inn extra early, and purchased weapons and armour from the trading post as soon as the owner unlocked the doors. They then lay in ambush for the latecomers. Four more of the would-be adventurers were caught unawares and murdered, some of them having their throats cut while under the influence of a Sleep spell. One ran bravely into the trading post and attempted to defend himself with a borrowed sword, but lost his desperate fight. Meanwhile, the two remaining arrivals slept in and enjoyed a late breakfast. The ambushers, returning to the inn, introduced themselves and an adventuring party was born.

The surviving characters at the end of the day were the warrior-maid Ithrilean, the novice paladin Godfrey, the halfling scout Brockley, the elf magician-priest Dravid, the half-elven warrior-priest Kayne and the novice monk Jaton.

When all were equipped - the trading post featured steep prices, but money for 10 went well to buy gear for 6 - they gathered local rumours, finding out about a local ruin supposedly inhabited by monsters. They headed off immediately, and were ambushed by bandits. Brockley dodged the combat and pillaged the bandits' hoard while the others fought. He fled with the money, while Godfrey and Ithrilean fought back-to-back, eventually slaying the bandits in spite of serious wounds. They then returned to town.

That night, one of the murdered adventurers returned from the dead, a vengeance-bent revenant. Ithrilean slew it in the inn's doorway with a flaming torch.

Returning to the ruin several days later, the PCs found a dungeon entrance. Inside they killed some zombies, some ghouls, a big lobster and an ogre, and returned home tired but happy.

Godfrey cornered Brockley, commanding him to reform and to cease ripping the other adventurers off. Brockley agreed, then ripped them off again. Soon caught, Godfrey led him by the nose to the local magistrate (who was Terjon, the local priest of St. Cuthbert), to get a good thrashing. Brockley, unimpressed, left town. Kayne also sought greener pastures this day.

Again the PCs ventured to the ruins. This time they met Lareth, priest of Lolth, and his hench-morons. The PCs killed his morons and Lareth ran like a steroid-abusing sprinter, escaping into the marshes around the ruins. Furious, he spent his ill-gotten gains (those the PCs have not taken in the name of truth and justice) on an assassin, who murdered Ithrilean a day later. Ithrilean, the most experienced of the PCs, was buried in the local churchyard. Jaton the monk departed Hommlet, but the same evening a gray elf cavalier named Felix arrived and immediately joined the party.

Chapter 2: Sir Felix and Thaco

The members of the party were now Godfrey, Dravid, and Felix.

The PCs enlisted the oafish Elmo and the enigmatic warrior-nun Hellia to bolster their ranks. While organising, they heard tell of the rough town of Nulb, a few days' travel distant. Going there, they were beaten up in a bar, but in the process learned the location of another, larger and more sinister ruin outside this new town.

Staunching their bleeding noses, the party entered the grounds of the ruined Temple of Evil Elements (foreboding orchestral music), where they were again ambushed by bandits. Quantities of bandit butt was kicked, and the now outnumbered survivors fled. Entering the main building, the PCs discovered access to the dungeon. They fought things. Dravid got separated, was captured by gnolls, escaped (but had lost all his gear), and tried to depart the dungeon by shinnying up a chimney. Unfortunately the chimney was home to a bloody great snake, which ate him. His fate remains a mystery to the others.

The other PCs were themselves, a bit later, captured by gnolls. They bided their time, then smashed down the cell door, and released the other prisoners. Most of them fled, but two stayed to fight: Yei the novice priest and Tim the mercenary crossbowman.

The characters returned to Nulb to rest. There they met Elmo's big brother Otis, a dumb-looking, smart-sounding local blacksmith and Y'dey (Otis's friend, the local witch-woman). They revealed that they were keeping watch on the activities of the Temple denizens, and provided some useful information.

A few days later, their wounds healded, the PCs returned to the Temple dungeon. A secret passage was found to a deep dungeon level. Here Elmo fell, a sword thrust through his spine from behind by the red-gloved Smigmal, whom Felix found strangely attractive. Hellia was stoned by a basilisk. The good guys retreated with their fallen.

After this defeat, the PCs elected to return to Hommlet. There they met Thaco Fenugreek, a half-orc shaman-scout. The whole group was ambushed that night by Lareth and some unpleasant assistants. Employing poison, they captured the party, bound them, and transported them by wagon to a remote place, where they were staked out as food for a white dragon. Lareth practiced his evil laugh all the way home.

The dragon took them in its claws to its lair, where it immediately ate Yei. The others escaped into the valley of the Serpentine Eye. The journey down to below the snow line was hard, and Tim died there. Godfrey captured a young ice lizard, intending to train it as a riding dragon, but it also died during the journey. Travelling through a bog near the valley's mouth, Thaco was briefly captured by evil bullywugs, and maimed by them. He survived, and the bullywugs didn't.

Escaping the harsh region, the PCs returned to Hommlet. They paused there only momentarily before returning to the ruined moathouse, where they surprised Lareth and his friends, and dealt with them messily.

Chapter 3: Lady Zephyr

The party members now comprised Godfrey, Felix, and Thaco.

While they were resting up in Hommlet, several inexperienced adventurers arrived and joined the group. They included Eldritch the novice magician, Brian Jestyr the Hopelessly Inadequate (another novice magician), and Zephyr Troy, the novice druid.

Thus enlarged, the party travelled to Nulb. En route they were ambushed by Smigmal Red Hand, leading a bandit force. The bandits were driven off and Smigmal was captured, but that night Felix, who was on guard, let her go. He kept her gear, though.

In Nulb Felix enlisted Dempsey, a half-ogrish warrior. Reinforced, they headed for the Temple. They slew those creatures remaining on the dungeon level nearest the surface, and discovered some clues. Dempsey was killed. Brian Jestyr decided, "Bugger this for a game of soldiers," and departed.

The part decided that a break from the dungeon was necessary. They travelled the week-long road to the big city of Verbobonc. After much carousing, they gained an audience with the local lord, Clarence the Viscount of Verbobonc, who directed them to investigate recent events at the frontier fortress of Borderkeep, which was on the Northfells. Godfrey hired Griff, a mercenary fighter, and captain of a force of two-score-and-ten light footmen. He also recruited henchmen: Terre the druid, Gefuldre the magician, Wavvin the scout, Karamel the maid-paladin, Crethe the priest, Idden the warrior, Mrak the cavalier, Declanthe the scout, Dungeoneer Dundre the dwarf warrior, and Vollan the sentinel. Phew!

The party headed to Borderkeep. There they discovered that the Castellan's adviser was a villain and a wererat. They entered caverns beneath the keep, seeking clues, but found monsters instead. A wicked gnome assassin called Scud murdered Godfrey with a blow from behind, but suffered a just death (and quick, too) at the hands of his friends. Bearing Godfrey's body, the party departed Borderkeep for Hommlet.

Godfrey's body was placed in the church of St. Cuthbert, awaiting the arrival of a senior cleric who could remedy his deadness. A newly arrived villain, the elf assassin Sam-Fox Kain stole the body, buried it in a hidden place, and then departed, happy at having inflicted hurt. Godfrey's companions were unimpressed.

Godfrey found himself alive. A man called Michael stood nearby and wished him well, then departed. Confused and lacking even a knife, he eventually made it back to Hommlet and joined his amazed friends.

Renewed, the party and their mercenaries returned to Borderkeep. There they discovered that the wererats had made common cause with local orcs, and had massacred the humans in the keep. The party entered the keep and battled the wererats, killing them all. They then scouted the region, and lured the orcs to open battle by a stream. The orcs were routed, suffering half their number slain, while the mercs suffered a dozen casualties. Satisfied, the PCs returned to Hommlet.

Chapter 4: Kobalts and Earth

The party was now Godfrey, Felix, Zephyr, Thaco, Godfrey's numerous henchmen, and Griff and his 38 light footmen.

In Hommlet, the PCs met the novice magician Worrigal. After a short period of preparation, he and the others travelled once more to the Temple of Evil Elements. There they killed the guards in a torture block, and rescued a tough gnome called Wonnilon. He joined them on equal terms. Finding a sub-temple, the Temple of Evil Earth, the characters battled and slew the evil clergy. The high priest was murdered by Thaco from ambush. Eldritch vanished, snatched into the darkness by Smigmal Red Hand, but his fate remains a mystery to the party.

The PCs returned to Hommlet briefly to rest. They met and enlisted Black Jay, a veteran fighter. Returning to the Temple grounds, they took part in another big battle in the bandit hideout above ground. They won the day only after a long, hard battle with dozens on each side. Many of Godfrey's henchmen fell that day. Black Jay went home, intent on breeding sheep as a safer way to make a living. Godfrey started paying Rasp, a half-bullywug thief from Nulb, for information.

Entering the Temple, the PCs penetrated well into the 2nd level. They killed lots of ogres and trolls, as well as a hydra and an owlbear, but more of Godfrey's henchmen were slain. An important clue was gained from the troll chieftain, after which his hand (bearing a ring of fire resistance) led them a merry chase. Eventually it was disposed of. A group of elvish prisoners was liberated. They claimed to be nobles, and promised rewards would be sent after they arrived safely home. The party escorted them to the nearest town from which they could obtain passage.

By now Godfrey's half-a-score of henchmen had been reduced to a trio: "Dungeoneer" Dundre Ironhelm, Karamel Andrigson, and Declanthe Moreau.

On returning to Hommlet, Felix took up with Ischade, a beautiful blonde who was staying at the inn. This was a change from his usual straight diet of tavern wenches.

The party headed for Verbobonc to trade in various treasures they had looted. One night, while camped by the road, and most of them slept, they were treacherously attacked by a pair of skilled rogues, who were revealed as none other than Rannos and Gremag, the Hommlet traders. Spies of the Temple all along, they had monitored the party a long time - too long. The characters were experienced enough now to slay them.

Figuring on a change of scene, the party wangled an interview with "one of the biggest mages in town", a wizard called Falameezar. He offered them 1000 GP each to take a job, plus any other loot they find, subject to himself getting dibs on "unusual artefacts". The PCs agreed and headed south-west into wild country, leaving their small army of mercenaries in the city.

They spent the night with the friendly Sir Heywood of Castle Gewgaw. In the morning he directed them onward, to a valley where they encountered a blue kobold, watching them from a distance. The cavaliers spurred their horses and attacked. Claymore mines went off as they approached, while the dozen other hidden blue kobolds open up with laser rifles. High hit points, however, won out over high tech. The PCs killed the "kobalts" and took their funny little weapons. Locating their underground hideout, not far distant, they attacked. Success was within their grasp when one kobalt gestured, and they left this world abruptly for another.

It was a hot, humid world, with sunlight that burned after minutes of exposure, and rain that stripped hair or skin away from the body and permanently marked wood and metal. This was Earth, c.2018 after an environmental catastrophe, in the woods 100km or so NW of New York City in the USA.

The party was attacked by huge, mangy dogs (one of which was Animal Friendship'd by Zephyr; she named it Carchon), subhumans wrapped in rotting rags and armed with firearms, and the weather. The world was declared a place not to be stayed in by everyone. The use of divinatory magic, deduction, and guesswork revealed that the PCs could escape this world, if they could be at a point 25 leagues south-east, 6 days in the future. If they missed this appointment, they'd be stuck.

The party encountered bandits and deadly weather. They stole a truck and ran rather than fought, especially after Thaco was shot dead. Declanthe was kidnapped by raiders, but rescued by Zephyr. Entering the city, their movement slowed, as they dealt with collapsed buildings and bridges, and hostile humans and wild animals.

In a controversial scene, Godfrey was confronted by an armed man, who threatened him. Godfrey shot him dead where he stood, using a 12-gauge.

They met some suspicious but non-hostile humans, and assisted them in fighting off a larger, better-armed group of less-principled humans before vanishing into the polluted sunset (who was that visored man?).

Near the tip of Manhattan Island were the sagging twin towers of the World Trade Centre. There, a small band of kobalts, visitors to this world, were under attack by human raiders. Driving them off, the PCs convinced these kobalts of their good intentions, and were transported to their own world (accompanied by Jon, a novice warrior).

Eventually the PCs returned to Verbobonc. There they met with Falameezar, who claimed one of each "new weapon" they had. Almost every weapon they had was different from every other, and hence Falameezar claim was to all of them. Felix rebelled, but Godfrey enforced the agreement. 1000 GP each did not seem worth it. Thaco's body, which had been brought back, was buried behind a brothel in the low quarter of the city. "It's where he would have wanted to be," said Felix.

Chapter 5: Alent, and Felix attacks Falameezar

The party now consisted of Godfrey, Felix, Zephyr, Karamel, Declanthe, Dundre, Wonnilon and Jon.

The PCs returned to Hommlet. On the way they encountered Gralathiliax, a drow warrior-magician, and Eddie the barbarian, who accompanied them. Pausing in Hommlet, Felix received the title to the Hommlet moat-house ruins - from the local manor-lord, paid for by elvish gold - and a flowery thanks from the elvish nobles the party had rescued.

Advancing to Nulb, the party entered the Temple dungeon. There they attacked the Temples of Evil Air and Water, but their stout companion Jon was slain. Wonnilon acquired a bejewelled cloak from the body of one of the priests.

Returning to Verbobonc, the party was attacked on the road by a leucrotta. After slaying it, Zephyr discovered an infant leucrotta, which she adopted. In the city she was courted by a stylish merchant named Terdras Ranael (suspected to be the assassins' guildmaster). She also encountered Lyra, a young girl infected with lycanthropy (a weretiger). The party could not meet the cost of having her cured at the city temple of St. Cuthbert (where the clerics were unfamiliar with the PCs, and would not give them a break). The church made a bargain with them: she would be cured if they retrieved some writings from the tower of a now-dead magician. The party did so, with some difficulty, and Lyra was cured.

Gralathiliax and Eddie became separated from the party in the city and never returned. Ischade and Declanthe were abducted (by Falameezar) and sold to the Temple of Evil Elements as sacrifices. Felix, desperate to rescue Ischade, attacked Falameezar's tower in the city single-handedly. His horse was killed, and (badly wounded) he had to walk 20 miles back into the city after falling victim to a teleport trap. He did not repeat the attempt.

Wonnilon received a message instructing him to "deliver the cloak" to a certain address; he felt certain it was the dead priest's cloak. He made the delivery, but alerted Zephyr; together they attempted to sneak inside. Wonnilon and Zephyr were ambushed, drugged, and taken to the Temple. Zephyr's magic enabled them to escape and regain their equipment, with the aid of Raxus, a bugbear Zephyr had Charmed. The other PCs, who belatedly had discovered their plight, had travelled at speed from Verbobonc and met them in Hommlet.

The group returned to the Temple dungeon. There they were attacked by a banshee, whose eerie wail killed Lyra, Dundre and Felix. Returning to Verbobonc for the dead to be Raised, Zephyr discovered that a member of the city government was arranging for their adventurers' guild, S.M.A.R.T., to be destroyed by charging the guildmasters with treason. Learning the identity of the villain, she trailed him into the city catacombs. There she rescued Alent, a dwarf warrior, who vowed to follow her always. Together they killed the villain, and S.M.A.R.T. repaid her with a Wish spell. She employed it to Raise Felix, then had a guild mage Geas Felix to repay her.

Chapter 6: The Battle of Hommlet

The party now consisted of Godfrey, Felix, Zephyr, Wonnilon, Karamel, Declanthe, Dundre and Alent.

Up to strength again, the party once more entered the Temple dungeons, scouting to the 4th level, then returning to Hommlet to rest up. Prepared, they re-entered the 4th level, hitting the Greater Temple there where they fought many monsters, including the Temple Magician and the High Priest of the Greater Temple (who were defeated but escaped). Felix had both arms hacked off and was drained a level.

Retiring to Hommlet, the PCs learned that an attack by an army of mercenaries and bandits raised by Temple servitors was imminent. The party raised the militia and prepared for battle.

Godfrey duelled the Temple of Evil Elements' champion, the nameless Knight of the Axe. He was a fearsome warrior, who clove off Godfrey's sword arm. Godfrey recovered "Ethlite", his flametongue sword, in his other hand and with it disarmed the Knight of his axe. The paladin then killed the evil champion with his own axe. Later Godfrey named this axe of sharpness "Cleave".

Badly injured, he was in danger of death when the militia retreated, and was saved by Karamel, who carried his unconscious body from the fray. The day went to the Temple forces, and the militia's leaders fought bravely and were killed.

The PCs retreated to the moathouse. Leaving their mercenary troops behind, they decided to hit the Temple where it lived and counterattacked at the Temple dungeon, level 4, accompanied by Otis and Y'dey. The party killed the Greater Temple's High Priest, Smigmal Red Hand and various minor priests, but Felix was captured, and only after both arms were hacked off (again) and an eye gouged out. (He wouldn't stop fighting until then).

The party retreated from battle, seeking refuge in the Elemental Nodes. There they met the knight Sir Amberforth and with his aid escaped the Nodes, though Otis and Y'dey both fell. The party fought their third battle in the Greater Temple, this time aided by another druid, Kella, who had infiltrated the temple hierarchy. Using a cursed berserking sword, Godfrey killed friend and foe alike, but more of both than everyone one else put together. Withdrawing from the dungeon as the temple forces rallied from the arrival of reinforcements, burdened with loot and bodies, the party encountered Felix, who had escaped despite his lack of various body parts.

Returning to the moathouse, the party found most of their mercenary force dead, as the result of an attack by Temple servitors. Gathering the survivors, they pushed on to Verbobonc. En route they were harassed by bandits. The hardened player characters, unwilling after their recent maulings to be screwed around by two-bit brigands, slaughtered them almost to a man. Once in the city, the party suffered a new high treasure tax, but had stone turned to flesh, dead flesh to living, and missing bits restored.

Chapter 7: Arnie and the Skull of Death

The party now consisted of Godfrey, Felix, Zephyr, Wonnilon, Karamel, Declanthe, Dundre and Alent. Kella and Sir Amberforth departed.

The party returned, revived, to the Temple dungeon. On the 3rd level they found the hidden cell of an unknown knight, whose living but inert body they rescued. They killed lots of monsters before retiring to a camp in the Gnarley forest, not wishing to enter the smoking ruins of Hommlet.

Re-entering the dungeon, they encountered Falrinth, who was defeated but escaped. In his lair they found the Skull of Death. Later, Falrinth confronted them, killing Felix. The party slew him in turn, and departed, bearing Felix's corpse. Falrinth's body was retrieved by his minions, who arranged for him to be Raised.

Bearing loot and only a few bodies, the party returned triumphantly to Verbobonc. A festival was under way there, and Godfrey took part in a jousting contest. He lost matches to Myrmidon, Sable and the Red Knight but took overall 2nd place. Felix's body was preserved in storage at S.M.A.R.T., pending some magic to restore him.

While Godfrey was off breaking lances, Zephyr travelled into the Northfells with Alent. The pair battled ghouls in catacombs beneath a village cemetery before reaching the Temple of the Earth Mother. There Zephyr revived the Water of Life and retrieved the Torc of the Gods for the local clergy. She heard rumours of the scimitar "Schaka" in the Temple dungeons, a druidic weapon of some antiquity and fame.

About this time, Arnold "Throat-Ripper" Thunderfist, cosmopolitan minotaur, came down from the Ondrondlir mountains to the Gnarley. There his halfling companion, Lint, was captured by slavers. Unable to rescue him, Arnie travelled to Verbobonc. In that city, despite much prejudice, he established a small church of the Thunderbird before joining the party.

The Greater Temple Magician, Senshock, challenged Godfrey to single combat outside Verbobonc. Godfrey killed him, but abandoned his corpse. It was retrieved that night by his followers, who arranged for revival.

The party returned to the Temple dungeon. Entering, they encountered Falrinth, who after a brief engagement fled. They ran him down and slew him. Then they burned the body. A Mirror of Mental Prowess was found, which the party used to travel. A brief return to the city was made before the party entered the Air Node. There they rescued Razif, 6th-level mage. When they returned, Zephyr discovered her spell ability reduced to only 1st- and 2nd-level spells. Persistent meditation and paid spell-casting revealed that her materialistic and secular ways had caused her to be chastised by her deity, Silvanus.

Arnie's church of the Thunderbird in Verbobonc was oddly successful. This upset the religious status quo, resulting in enemies (some overt) in the business and clerical communities there. A number of offensives - violent and otherwise - were repelled with minimal loss of blood and status.

Godfrey and Zephyr made a foray into the Water Node without their companions. On their return, an expedition was mounted by the whole group into the Fire and Air Nodes. This disastrous mission obtained Schaka, a major Rod, and the final of the four gems required to activate the Skull of Death, but in the course of the mission almost every PC was killed. Fortunately the Mirror of Mental Prowess facilitated their return to S.M.A.R.T., where their savings paid for restoration.

The party, when Raised, paused to do some research in Verbobonc. The demonic nature of their opposition had become evident, and they sought items of power proof against demonic forces.

Learning of a demon-slaying weapon near Shimmer lake to the west, they travelled there. In the town of Gythim was a keep inhabited by an evil spirit, which attempted to consume several PCs. The Greater Temple Magician, revived, had been spying on the PCs, waiting for a good opportunity to sabotage their activities. Nearby, he summoned the Type VI demon, Terzoth. As the party retreated from the keep, with Arnie employing a wand of wonder to blast a way out, Terzoth confronted them. Zephyr used the Skull of Death to protect herself (reducing her Charisma in doing so), and Godfrey duelled Terzoth, killing him after being badly wounded. Having escaped the keep, Arnie and Godfrey tracked down the evil Magician and killed him, but only after he had ensorcelled Wonnilon. A ghost possessed Godfrey's destrier, then Arnie, before being driven off. Twice triumphant, the PCs failed to obtain the demon-slaying weapon, and returned to Verbobonc.

Chapter 8: Ramdale and the Ultimate Battle

While recovering in the city, the party met (and was joined by) Ramdale Dablo-De-Court, a magician of no mean prowess. When prepared, they attacked the Greater Temple. Zuggtmoy, bound demon princess, was there, accompanied by 3 of Senshock's minions, Canuth, Rydag and Zef. The PCs killed Canuth and Rydag, but then Zef used an unholy item to summon a physical manifestation of the evil deity Iuz (horror of horrors!).

Confronted with this embodiment of sheer evil, Ramdale told him what he could go and do. No-one else was surprised when Ramdale abruptly dropped dead. At this point, St. Cuthbert materialised a physical body of his own, to balance the scales. There was a brief exchange between the two deities, incomprehensible to the mortals present. The immortals then departed, but not before Raising all of their dead mortal followers to each oppose the other side.

An epic battle ensued. One on side was Godfrey, Zephyr, Arnie, Ramdale, Wonnilon (actually he's fighting for the other side, due to the enchantment put on him by Senshock), Dundre, Karamel, Alent, Michael (a spirit of Good who aided Godfrey in the past), Felix, Thaco, Ithrilean, Ancalame, Tim, Elmo, Rufus, Byrne, Jaroo, Terjon, Chasic, Radroak and Declanthe. On the other side was Zuggtmoy, Zef, Senshock, Falrinth, Smigmal Redhand, Rydag, Canuth, Rannos Davl, Gremag, Lareth, Alrrem, Belsornig, Kelno, Romag, and the Knight of the Axe.

The good guys carried the day. All of their opponents, except Smigmal, Falrinth and Senshock (who escaped by magic) were slain. Of the good guys, the dead were Jaroo, Tim, Ancalame, Dundre and Wonnilon. The PCs had the last 2 Raised, but gave the others an honourable burial (the bad guys got piled in a heap and burned).

Returning to Verbobonc, Thaco and Declanthe decided to depart (Declanthe and Godfrey had opposed views about personal property). Elmo, Rufus, Byrne, Terjon, Radroak and Chasic all returned to their homes (mostly to rebuild Hommlet). Unfortunately, Falameezar (who was known to Ramdale) heard about their success, and the fact that Zuggtmoy's treasure hoard had not yet been found and looted. He immediately mounted an expedition to the Temple, which was almost entirely deserted. There he found and took the hoard, more than a day before the PCs returned to try for it. The PCs were enraged, but not angry enough to try their luck with Falameezar.

The inert knight rescued from the Temple cell was revived, and his identity was revealed as Thrommel, Prince of Veluna (captured 10 years ago). He was reunited with his fiance, and invited all the PCs to be guests at his long-delayed wedding in Mitrik. After the ceremony, he bestowed titles upon them all: Zephyr was made a Lady of Veluna; Karamel, Felix, Ithrilean, Alent, Dundre and Wonnilon were made Knights of Veluna; Arnie and Radroak were made Champions of Mitrik; Ramdale an Elder of Veluna; and Godfrey was made a Knight of Veluna and invested in the knightly order of the Hart (Prince Thrommel's own order).

After much carousing, Ithrilean said goodbye.
