  Magic Knight Rayearth. I have not seen much of this series. I saw it on one of the television network in Indonesia when I went back during last holiday (Nov 1996-Feb 1997). After I saw 2 episodes I just get hooked straight away. I finally finished watching the first series, excellent ending. There's a nice twist to the story. I won't spoil it for you but basically in this story there's no true evil character. Very good animation, funny are some of the good points. The girls, Hikaru, Fuu and Umi were originally normal girls from Earth. They met together on a field trip to Tokyo Tower although they all come from different school. They got transported into the world of Cephiro. They are destined to be Magic Knights, Legendary heroes that will save Cephiro. They have to protect Cephiro from Zagato who tried to take it over. What I like about this series is that they don't waste time killing monsters before they face the main evil guy, It's like one VERY VERY LONG movies but divided into several episodes. Unlike certain animation where one episode, one monster or problem. Problem solved, end of one episode. Sailor Moon is a good example that fits in into this catagory. It's a bit kiddish but it's an excellent series to watch.
