Dear Friends of the Washington Sängerbund!
Founded in 1851, the Washington Sängerbund is one of the oldest organizations incorporated in the Washington area. For many years we have been supporting German-American culture through song via concerts and other functions. With the recent loss of the German Orphan Home as a place to hold our Oktoberfest, Christkindlmarkt, and concerts, we are now looking for new ways to support our musical program. In 2002 the IRS recognized The Washington Sängerbund as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. That means that individuals and organizations may treat donations to the Washington Sängerbund as charitable contributions on their income tax returns.
We hope that you will select the Washington Sängerbund as a recipient of your tax-deductible contribution.
We would be pleased to list you as a donor in our Spring Concert and Fall Concert programs. The following categories of donors will be listed in the programs:
Friends (donations of $25 to $49)
Contributors (donations of $50 to $99)
Sponsors (donations of $100 to $249)
Benefactors (donations of $250 to $499)
Patrons (donations of $500 to $999)
Sustaining Members or Corporate Members (donations of $1000 and higher)
If you would like to contribute, please make your check payable to The Washington Saengerbund.
Mail the check to:

We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you at our future events.
Sincerely yours,
