I've been in a mild depression lately and haven't been working on my website. I haven't been on the computer at all, not even to surf. But tonight I checked in on the Def Leppard Archive site and discovered they are going to play TULSA on June 1st! I'm jumping for joy! At last something I can look forward to, something to lift my spirits! I'm so excited!!! Dammit, as a Militant Pollyanna I try to ignore the news media, but what is about to happen begs me to react. I am a die-hard optimist, and I continually strive to be an instrument of peace. On my Militant Pollyanna page I have requested a prayer of all who visit the site.

Wow, is everybody hibernating or what? I checked in on all my favorite Def Leppard sites and they all seem asleep. I know they guys are taking a break before they start the U.K. leg of their tour, so maybe the webmasters are just kickin' back for a while.
Anyway, Def Leppard is set to release another single from their new album. The boy-band harmonic "Long Long Way to Go".

They need to release "Love Don't Lie", or "Gravity" and forget the soft stuff. I really hope that 2003 wakes up and starts ROCKING!
In the meantime I've been listening to Fort Smith's Rock station, THE X 95.3, and so is everyone else, apparently. I went into Wheeler Motorsports yesterday and THE X was on their P/A system! Cars driving by on Rogers Avenue are blaring it loud and proud! They just keep sounding better and better!

Hey there! First of the year is very busy for us bookkeepers, so I haven't been doing much on my website. I did find out that tonight on NBC's Hidden Hills there will be footage of the December 17th Denver Def Leppard concert, so I'll be watching that, for sure! (UPDATE 1/16/03: It was great! Very funny and wonderful shots of Def Leppard!)
Of local interest, a Fort Smith radio station changed it's programming from classic rock (of which there are three other stations) to New Rock with NO RAP!!!!
Yay!!! NEW MUSIC!!!
I'm so jazzed! It's THE X 95.3 to you people who live in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma. I've been so depressed because of all the JUNK on the other "top 40" stations! I've been starving for new rock, even finding playlists of other rock stations on the 'net and then downloading songs I've never heard off of KaZaA. Now I can listen to the radio again! Whoo-Hoo! Tune into them and give them your support! Here's my site devoted to them!
Finally, as a child of the 60's I must mention the passing of Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees. Most people today associate the Bee Gees with disco, but they were already legend when "Saturday Night Fever" was released. I remember hearing them all over the radio in the mid-to-late 60's; "Words", and before Michael Bolton ripped it, "To Love Somebody (The Way I Love You)" being very popular. Maurice was my favorite of the group, not the furry frontman as Barry and not the ear-holding falsetto as Robin, but the basic harmony that melded the three together.

Def Leppard will be one of the featured acts of "Big Bang Boom" festival in Kansas City on June 29, 2002!
Since there are 12 other groups the Official Def Leppard Site reports they will probably perform one hour.
Event Information
I doubt I'll be able to make this one, but since they've got this scheduled they should have more tour dates stateside around the same time!!! I'm keeping my ears perked!
