When I started Survivors Across America one year ago on November 3, 1997 I was feeling alone in the world and was hoping to maybe meet one or two other survivors who were having the same problems I was. The last year for me has been a time in my life I will never forget. I have met thousands of survivors and have learned that not only I am not alone but there is a major problem in this world . Two out of every three homes in this country will have a victim from child abuse rape or domestic violence. This site as small as it may be is my way of trying to help. I have always said if this site could save just one kid from a life of abuse it would be all worth it . It makes me so proud to say that we have saved that one kid and many more. We have had our fair share of problems getting Survivors Across America off the ground but we made it and we are making a difference. I say we because with out all the help I have had from so many of you this site would not be here. To all of you I just want to say thank you . 1999 is going to be a big year for us . As most of the regulars to the site already know our chat rooms have been having more then there share of problems and many times I just wanted to close them down and forget about them. My goal for this year is to create a one of a kind moderated chat city for survivors. A home away from home where we can all be among friends and feel safe . I hope to see all of you there in the near future.
