As you lie there In the darkness
Alone with your tears
No one to comfort you To waylay your fears
It wasn't your fault
The sun has quit shining
The clouds linger above
No one can hear you My lost little dove
It wasn't your fault
You feel all alone
No protection, just pain
When will it break
The sun replace the rain
It wasn't your fault
Years of shame
Not knowing why
Hiding from yourself Begging life by
It wasn't your fault
Memories return Is there belief
Is there escape From this dark grief
It wasn't your fault
You are not to blame My child of dreams
The future lies ahead It is all that remains
It wasn't your fault

DARKNESS
My world is drifting
Slowly out to sea
My thoughts are drowning
I cannot see So far away
I cannot reach
Memories of things unknown
What is real
Where will this lead me
Tunnels of darkness
Quiet Peaceful Serene Alone
Where will this lead me
Fear of the unknown Feelings
What is real
What is imagined
Days turn into nights
Where will this lead me

A FRIEND IS FOREVER
A friend is forever
Strength Sharing Loving
No pressures No guilt
Trusting Forgiving Understanding
A friend is forever
Truth Honesty Feelings Emotions
Total Unconditional
A friend is forever

LONELINESS
My emotions ebb and flow
like the tide of the seas
The loneliness is so dark
The pain is real
I cry out and no one hears
Alone Lonely I speak not of this
That would be a sign of weakness,
failure, again I must not fail
I must conquer and win
But what prize More loneliness
