She lies in the dirt BY K.T.
She lies in the dirt Fighting to keep the purity she has not yet known And as it is taken, ripped from her body She understands that the thief Wants her honor He wants her to bleed for him The thief will take her baby soul
And she fights kicking, screaming Bleeding, satisfying the thief In the dirt
And it is a good fight She holds on for her life witha a knowing that this battle is important
But she is small, a child And he is powerful, a monster He rips her soft, gentle, baby soul out And pounds his fists into the empty spaces left in her small body
Ands she weakens Grows smaller And Mommy does not help her No-one believes her And in that dirt, she lies Silent, in this terrible place Bleeding and lost. . . . still
