GET ACTIVE & STAY ACTIVE! (working, full of action)

What are you doing to get active these days? What do you focus on that motivates you to succeed, or causes you to fail? For many people, being stuck in a rut is a common, debilitating cycle, that stops the flow of God in their lives.

God wants the best for us, and He made sure of that by giving His Best. So we should do, and give our best, to win in life. I heard someone say, "Everyone is not born to succeed," but I disagree. "For God so loved the world, He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 NIV) We can have eternal life with Him in Heaven, and also an abundant life here on earth. When we trust Jesus, and seek change in our lives, we're saying, "Jesus, I trust You to guide me all the way!" Following Jesus is our way to success! Making a decision, in any situation, is the first step, then there's planning. After planning, we must stay focused on the main goal!

I called a friend, one day, to share some things I was going through, really I just wanted to vent. When she answered the phone, I could hear loud noises in the background, so I asked what was going on. She said she was on the treadmill, and she just got started. So basically, she couldn't talk. She began to tell me her workout plan and how she needed to stick to it, until she was finished, so I should call her back. Well, at first I thought, "I'm in need here, hello!" but I understood. My friend made a decision to lose weight, had a plan and stuck to it! Her commitment inspires me to stay committed to my goals even more this year.

So again, I ask, what are you doing these days to stay active? Active in health, with your children, in your marriage, in your community and in the Word of God? Proverbs 14:23 says, "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty." (NIV) When we work hard, we see our progress, and that makes us want to stay active. Wanting just isn't enough, but it's a start. We need to take action towards our vision, our dreams and goals! I've heard people say talk is cheap. Well, not only is it cheap, but it will lead you into poverty. There's nothing to it but to do it! Talking about change will only lead you into a bigger rut.

Make a decision to become active, and once you're active, stay active until your goal is complete. If you have to, change your way of thinking and believe in yourself, if no one else does! We were created for greatness! God gave His Best to us, and His Best lives on the inside of us. Commit yourself to Jesus and His Word, and stay committed. Get active and stay active!
