1998 It wasn't much to start with. I took the extra effort to get to know Jess better. It's like living with a total stranger. Even if I didn't like her, I would have to stay with her for at least 1 acadamic year. But we were both very busy!!! She had her dance practices and performances that I hardly saw here. I had my 3 trainings going on concurrently at the same time. IVP, Club as well as Club U21 trainings. It was a tiring time then.We only see each other at night (or should I saw wee hours in the morning) before we turn in for the night. Despite both our busy schedules, I made the effort to meet her for meals. We met for lunch and dinner. It was once, we were arranging to meet for dinner that we met S, who is our mutual friend. It was such an coincidence!!! (: Then from there, we both realised that we had many mutual friends. Some even from our JCs!!! (: Singapore's a small world after all. As Jess got her NBS thingy going on, there were some discussions on the point system. So, I volunteered to do the scoring for them, FOC. I must really say that this made me know her better! After that, she had to return the clothes to the sponsor at Far East Plaza, I arranged to meet her at Orchard MRT! She was certainly stunning with make-up!!! I seldom/never see her with make-up in hall! She looked more beautiful than I ever thought in my wildest dreams! <dear readers, don't be too disappointed when you see the scanned photos.. hee hee> I was in awe with her literally. Luckily I regained my composure fast! (: We went together to return clothes to the boutique and then I brought her up to the eatery upstairs to eat nice noodles. To think of it, it has been a long time since we last went there. A few weeks downt the road, we went down Venom together. She went with her MJ pals and I felt really out of place. :| I drank a lot there I must say. We were drinking together when the bartender decided to entertain us with a few amusing tricks. It's the first time ever that I have seen a bartender perform tricks for us. (: Then in her drunken state, she looked at our reflection and said that we looked good together. There and then, I had that sudden pang of softness for her. I looked at her funnily (it was very dark then!) and smiled. She was too high to notice anything. (: After having enough fun, we shared a taxi back to hall. Upon reaching our room, she fell asleep first. I spent some time gazing at her, admiring her beauty under the moonlight. I felt something so special to her. That feeling of wanting to protect her from all harm. That funny feeling that I have never had before. I felt so in sync with her. I looked at her tired body curled up. I wanted so much to touch and caress her. Decided not to as it wasn't right! The next few months were fun. Jess is really nice. I looked forward to spending time with her. I used to dread going back to school and staying for the week as I am quite homesick. It was different from staying with J. J made life horrible for me. Jess was different. I looked forward to spending time with her lots..... Getting a bit too sticky with her I guess. We had almost monthly trips to eat out of school. Or should I say weekly trips. We went to town for a good time. (: Ate town food like Sushi.... Actually the main reason is to get out of school! Hee hee! |
