Summer Land
The Summer Solstice has come and gone and life is gearing up to the blazing days of summer. The herb garden is starting to come into it's own and the harvesting of fragrent blossoms and leaves has begun. Ahh summer.
Many firsts this summer as the whole family marched in our first PRIDE parade in Halifax on June 23. We were three amongst the hundreds but it felt so good to act on our beleifs of equality for everyone. Not only did that day have an affect on the external world, but also the internal one. It was a moment of chnge for us and now we wwear those PRIDE pins when we are out on the town. Our little version of the Bi-visibility project.
Next stop the AEPG festival. My first Pagan gathering, right here in the lush Annapolis Valley. Be sure to check out the site, a link is on The Spirit pages.
This summer is the season of fruition of many years of labour for me. I have struggled with labels, my identity and role in my family, my body through two pregnancies, my focus....
All the trials and tribulations are paying pack HUGE dividends and I am content with my life and direction I'm going. I've debated whether or not to continue this page, as its main goal was to help me through this transition, and I've decided to keep it as a record of how I got to be an integrated person, with all my sides equal and smiling

Part of the problem of identifying with sub-cultures is that there are no obvious role-models to help you out. It is also hard to find people who share common experiances because living out of the (many) closet(s) can feel threatening. Please feel free to write me if you are inspired by what you read or have something to share.
