What is the JGC Booster Drive?

In addition to the many fund-raising activities scheduled throughout the year, the Jacksonville Gay Chorus includes an annual JGC Booster Drive.  The Booster Drive’s purpose is to give our community an opportunity to make annual, tax-deductible contributions to help us with our ever increasing financial obligations.

Why does the JGC need Boosters?

The expenses of a large and growing musical organization are many. Chorus members pay membership dues, contribute to their casual and performance attire, and financially support a variety of chorus initiatives.  But, there are many other expenses that the chorus incurs beyond the financial reach of its members:  uniforms, music, risers, props, scenery, auditorium rentals, sound equipment, musical accompaniment and equipment just to name a few.  For those needs, we rely on the generosity of our friends and patrons.

What do I get out of it?

We recognize the importance of our boosters and patrons, whose many contributions make the continued success of our organization possible. For you generous support and dedication, we want to recognize you each year with a special Appreciation Reception and Performance just for you, your family, and friends. Complimentary ticket(s) to this performance will be given to each Booster donation. Other added benefits, such as private performances are also available.

OK, I’m convinced! How Do I become a Booster?

Becoming a Booster is easy. If you are local to Jacksonville and wish to contribute to our booster drive, each member of the Jacksonville Gay Chorus has booster information in their possession. If you don’t know any Chorus members, or are visiting our web site from outside the Jacksonville area feel free to click on the mail icon below and email your snail mail address to us, and we will rush a booster packet out to you.
