Tuesday 22nd March
The concert
held at Green Point Stadium
on a real scorcher of a day.
The first group to take the stage was a
Cape Town band called Fetish. A five piece
witha female vocalist. They were followed
by The Springbok Nude Girls, who I find are
very over rated. Can't say I enjoyed them.
Next up was The Cult, "brilliant". They really
rocked, Definetly what Rock 'n Roll is about.
The
best was, after stage diving Ian Astbury
lost his trousers and brown eyed the crowds.
The
Goo Goo Dolls followed, playing all there
well known hits, Slide etc. A lot less mellow
than The Cult nevertheless
a brilliant band.
Lenny Kravitz stole the show, with his mixture
of Rock, jazz, funk and soul. His backup
musicians were amazing.
One
of the best
drummrs I've ever
seen.
It was a brillaint concert.
I
will put together a gig guide in the near
future with reviews and recommondations
