Adaptive Testing and the NT Workstation Exam

About Me
I have completed my Windows NT Workstation exam and am now working on
Visual Basic 6 Desktop exam. It can be very
helpful to have friends and colleagues that also want to certify in the same area. I
found it very helpful to have discussions with others studying the same thing. If
you would like someone to bounce ideas around with, I will help if I can. Contact me if you need help.

Adaptive Testing
To learn more about the science behind adaptive testing, read
this document from Microsoft (a Word document). Right
click on the document link and choose "Save Target As" and save it to your own
computer for quicker reading. You may also wish to try out this sample adaptive test (a zip file). Having been through adaptive
testing, I now know that it is NOT scary like I had thought it would be. If you know
your stuff, it will only serve to get you out of the exam room very quickly. I
received only 15 questions on my exam and it took me only about 10 minutes to do the test.
I did not miss a single question, and I did not feel I was rushing...it just did not take
the time that I had expected it would. I found it very easy, but I was EXTREMELY
prepared before I finally took the plunge.

NT Workstation Exam
Before you waste time over-studying a lot of "nice to
know" but "not covered on the exam" information, you should identify what
is within the scope of the exam. I did this by finding out what the exam objectives
were according to Microsoft. This helped me focus on the main areas.
Exam Objectives
as laid out on the Microsoft Web Site for NT Workstation( Exam
Objectives are important to note before serious studying begins)
- Planning and Effective Implementation
- Installing and configuring NT workstation 4
- Managing Resources
- Connectivity
- Running applications
- Monitoring and optimization
- Troubleshooting

I found the Braindumps
very helpful. I am also providing some of the notes that I and friends have made (and
used) to study for the NT Workstation Exam. They are word documents & in
some cases textpad text files. If you would like to use copies of these
files, please right click on each document link and choose "Save Target As" and
save to your own computer. NOTE: You will need to study much
more than these notes in order to pass!
