Well we can now read the match between Flegmar
and Ralmauthor. This is Ralmauthor's first appearance
and he puts up a tough fight. This was also Flegmar's
ranking fight which lands him right below Crucibal.
He would have been tied but Crucibal defeated him
in his first match. Hahahaha! I've decided that ties
in the ranking system won't happen anymore. This is
how a tie will be broken. Whoever beat the other more
often is higher ranked. If that doesn't determine
it then whoever has more experience is the higher
ranked. Barring that I will give the higher rank to
whoever I like better. (actually I guess at that point
a tie might exist). Anyway I also readjusted two fights
because week ten had Crucibal matching up against
Flegmar which has already happenned. Anyway thats
all for now folks.

I have added the fight between Whisper
and Craningar. This is quite an interesting match.
I have also updated the list of available resources.
This should have been updated awhile ago. The following
are now allowed although some require my permission
if you are going to use something from them. Oriental
Adventures, Manual of the Planes, Song and Silence,
Magic of Faerun and new issues of Dragon Magazine.
I have also posted the roster for week 10. That will
conclude regular fights for Season 1. I'll be sending
out an email request to everyone shortly (by the end
of the week) with regards to special tactics for weeks
11 and 12 as well as details of what is planned. Thats
it for now.
November 27, 2001
Wow another update! Actually this one is to let everyone
in on what the DM's are discussing. I have decided
to end the first season of the Pit at twelve weeks.
The next two weeks will be regular 1-on-1 but we have
some surprises for everyone with regards to week 11
and 12. I won't reveal anymore right now but I will
leave you with that teaser. I would also like to say
I corrected a problem with one of the links. Not sure
what was happenning because the link was pointing
to the right file name and the file contained the
right content but it would display something else.
Anyway it is corrected now. Check out the fight between
Ackeron and Dis
Loveth

No updates for 10 days. God I am getting neglectful
of my duties. But as my new motto says "Life
is Busy (and I am lazy)".
But today I have for you 3 fights and updated fight
roster for next week!!! That's right, you can now
see who will kick your ass next week (or whose ass
you will kick depending on your outlook). But lets
talk about the three new fights. First we have the
Pit Champion Calathra
and Crucibal. Crucibal is attempting to fight
for his ranking (3rd match equals a proper place in
the standings). Read the fight to find out how things
ended up or check the standings :) next up we have
an unusual situation between Melquiades
and Rannos. See the not-to-common ending to that
match. And lastly of the three updates for today we
have the righteousDis Loveth and the despicable Ackeron.
Dis Loveth and
Ackeron have quite the battle as you can read
here. Anyway I should have more for you tomorrow.
Take care and keep coming back for more!!

Well I must say things are getting interesting here
in the Pit these days. Everytime I update the standings
I think of little conflicts and rivalries that should
be occuring. Like today between Melquiades
and Crwag. These two are poised for a long standing
feud that could see one of the Pits most hated struggle
against one of the Pit's most loved. I love it!! Anyway
all week 7 fights are posted. Now time to move onto
Week 8. I must say I am happy with the way the other
DM's are making their own little plot lines. It makes
it very interesting for me to read as well. Plus it
gives me incentive to get writing :) I'm sure I wanted
to say something else but I can't figure it out for
the life of me. And when I remeber I will most likely
be to lazy to update... oh wait yeah I know what it
is. I don't see much action on the forum or the yahoo
group. Is everyone still their? I would like to hear
more from everyone, I know I am bad for replying but
I still like to know people are reading and enjoying.
So speak up! ...please.
November 15, 2001
Two days in a row... what could be happenning? I have
finished another fight. This one between Flegmar
and Whisper. It is short. I will try to have the
last one for week 7 done this afternoon. So the way
I look at it I'm less than two weeks behind schedule.
In high school terms that would 80% off my mark (at
10% per day late). In university that would mean a
0% (I never once had a professor let anyone be more
than a few days late and only with good excuses).
In my ITI computer training days that would mean a
0% with the possibility of impacting my overall teams
mark. In the work place it would mean I get to begin
looking for a new job. I notice a trend that it gets
more severe as the level increases... hmmm. Well at
least here the worst thing is that I disappoint my
devoted readers. Ah well you guys are probably used
to me doing that by now :) Anyway enjoy the fight.
Note: Never eat 4lbs of ribs at 11pm and then expect
a good night sleep. I learnt it the hard way. Trust
me.

Today has been a busy day for me with getting things
organized around the Pit. I have cleaned up the combatants
list. This entailed removing two characters. One because
I never received a character sheet. The other character
retired. Nathaniel is no longer with the Pit and there
will be more to follow on that later. I have added
a new DM to the list as well, Ultrann.
Read his exhibition
match. But of course the fun doesn't stop there
folks. I have uploaded two more fights to the Pit.
You can now watch (or read I guess) two of the top
competitors duke it out, Rannos
and Calathra. Also you can witness two beginners
in the Pit fight for their glory and fortune, Ackeron
and Shanna (this is Shanna's first fight!). Wow,
aren't you glad you checked in today! I also have
a few plans up my sleeve but I won't reveal anymore
than that because I tend to work slower than I intend
to. Anyway, if you submitted a character to me recently,
I haven't forgotten about you. I am just waiting for
even more DM help in order to expand the Pit's gladiatorial
clientle. Oh yeah. when submitting tactics, please
submit them as a seperate document NOT as an updated
character sheet. When you go up a level send me the
changes, NOT an updated character sheet. The reason
for this is to make it easier to track changes and
keep all DM's on the same page :) Anyway I think that
is it for the moment. No wait. I also changed a fight
next week that Nathaniel was to be in. Ralmauthor
of Colors has stepped in to replace him since his
departure.
November 8, 2001
Update - I have uploaded two more fights. Crucibal
and Dis Loveth. Craningar
and Nathaniel. Both are excellent fights and I
think we have a some combatants that seem like they
will pose a challenge for our Pit Champion Calathra.
Ok. I'm sorry I haven't been replying to emails lately
or updateing the website or adding new fights. On
Saturday I updated my computer to Windows XP. I was
prepareing for a huge headache and had slotted several
hours to do the install and try to get everything
back up and running. Well what do you know. The install
was relatively painless. I was a little bewildered
but WinXP is pretty intuitive and found all my software
drivers and installed most everything easily. I quickly
hooked up IE and Outlook Express to access my ISP
and voila, everything was great. I went to bed. I
woke up and there was a windows update waiting so
I updated WinXP. Restarted my computer and before
it was even shut down I was on my way out the door
for the day to run errands. I come back and my weekend/week
crumpled. WinXP would not reboot, somehow the boot
files went missing. Now for anyone who has lost their
boot files can understand that life becomes quite
a headache and my precious easy install became just
what I had prepared for. I ended up having to reinstall
WinXP over the old install. I lost a bunch of email
from Saturday and Sunday. So if you emailed me about
anything on the weekend I may or may not have received
it. If it was important just send it my way again.
On a second note. Work has been exceptionally busy
for me this past week and I haven't had time to do
anything I consider fun (except to see Monsters Inc
with my fiance and her mom because I needed some serious
relaxing time). So I do promise to get those fights
up. It will just be awhile.
November 5, 2001
Holy crap! Time is flying by and I am once again falling
behind. I guess this is what I get for having such
a busy life. The final fight of last week is posted,
Dis Loveth vs
Whisper. I will be posting this weeks fights as
I get them. Which basically means I don't have them
all yet. But ah well, thats life.
