Well I managed to accomplish one thing before the
new year. I got this website changed and looking fresh.
Hopefully I can get the rest of the fights done early
this week. Well everyone. Happy New Year!!! I hope
everyone has a great and safe night doing whatever
it is they have planned. I will be drinking myself
into a coma tonight, once I get to the Liquor Store.
Anyway let me know what you think of the website and
if there are any problems, or things you would like
to see changed or added please let me know. I have
some plans for this Pit... very good plans.
December 28, 2001
Well we have a new Pit Champion and his name is Rannos
The Fatherless!!! His recent victory over Dis Loveth
has placed him at the top. But we all know that if
Calathra wins she will take home the title of Pit
Champion for Season One!! View the latest fight between
Dis Loveth and
Rannos. Oh yeah what do you think of the new look.
Things aren't complete and there are a lot of broken
links but I will get those fixed up in time.

One week till Christmas! I still have the great debate
as to wether or not I should get an X-Box, a Gamecube
or a PS2. Four fights are done. Week 9 is finished
and week 10 has begun! Watch as Shanna
and Melquiades set upon each other. Rannos
and Whisper clash! Dis
Loveth and Flegmar! and week 10's first match,
Crwag and Flegmar!
A couple of other notes. I have recalculated gold
and experience for everyone and a few corrections
were made so make sure to check your experience point
total. Most of you have also recieved more gold (just
a little). As I now have a standard method for determining
gold piece awards. Umm although there was a lot to
update I don't really have much to say. I doubt I
will be very active with the site over the holidays
since I am taking a few days vacation time from work.
I'll still have access to email though, just won't
be updating the site too often. I'll have word by
tomorrow as to how week 12 will end. Talk later guys.
December 11, 2001
I have two updates to make and one is very important.
The first is another fight has been uploaded. Ralmauthar
and Calathra. The second is a little bit more
interesting (the fight is interesting but the fact
I posted isn't :) I am announcing the match up for
week 11. Week 11 is going to be three matches and
they will be 2 on 2 matches. The pairings are as follows.
Dis Loveth and Ralmauthar vs Craningar and Whisper
Calathra and Crwag vs Crucibal and Flegmar
Shanna and Ackeron vs Rannos and Melquiades
These have been decided by myself with a lot of input
from the other DM's. I'm not going to post player's
email addresses, but if you want to pass things through
me or use the forum to contact each other (and then
persoanlly communicate) that is fine by me. I would
like completed tactics by... well Christmas is coming
up and stuff... well as soon as you can but I don't
think the fights will be posted until the new year.
I am promising you that I would like to have all the
week 9 and 10 fights done before next Friday. Thats
it for the moment.

Update: Ok you can now view the Ackeron
and Craningar fight. As a note this was Ackeron's
ranking fight. I would also like to take this brief
moment to say thanks to the DM's that have helped
me shape this arena. They work hard and brining you
enjoyable matches and I thank them. I also want to
thank all the players that keep cheering us DM's on
and help by giving suggestions and participateing
in the forum (which looks nicer now eh?). So thanks
everyone and remember I am always striving to make
this Pit great.
Well I have updated the site just a little bit. You
will notice that the forum link has changed in order
to have a new window open so you can remain at the
site and still check and post messages. It was becoming
so painful for me I finally changed it. I have another
fight to post but do to technical difficulties beyond
my control I can't currently access it. So hopefully
it will be posted sometime today. I have two addendums
to the magic item rule stated below. #1 - When purchasing
an item (requesting first) it could take as long to
get the item as it does to create it. Basically if
an item takes 2 weeks to create it could take up to
2 weeks to get if purchased. #2 - Replenishing magic
items between matches requires requesting the items
or making them yourself and they are subject to time
restrictions too. Expect this website to get a major
overhaul in a few weeks. In addition does anyone know
how to make PDF's (what is a good program and easy
to use?).

Update: Ok I have added the last fight for week 8
and the first fight for week 9. It just so happens
that Crwag is in both of them. Watch as Crwag
and Shanna battle it out and then watch as Crucibal
and Crwag attempt to best each other.
Today is a short update. After much deliberation
amongst the members of the Council (that would be
the DM's). We have come up with some ideas on how
to handle certain issues. The two issues are below.
I would also like to make an announcement that the
fight between Shanna and Crwag should be posted sometime
in the next few hours (its currently noon EST). I'm
doing this update now though so everyone knows I am
still actively working on the Pit (if work gets busy
I don't always have the chance to update). The rules
presented below are subject to change without notice.
ANIMALS IN THE PIT
Familiars - These are allowed without restriction
as they are an integral part of the Class.
Summoned Creatures - These are allowed since
currently there is no restriction on spells.
Animal Companions (Druid, etc.) - A limit of
one can be brought into the Pit at a time regardless
of what the HD limit is for a character.
Special Mounts (Paladin) - Not allowed in regular
combat. Unique matches could allow a special
mount.
Regular Animals Including Mounts - Not allowed
in regular combat.

MAGIC ITEMS IN THE PIT
The purchase of Magic Items (including Potions
and Scrolls) is being restricted. Any character
that can create these items can do so following
the costs in gold, experience AND time. All
items being created must still be cleared with
the DMs.
If someone is interested in purchasing an item
that they cannot create then they must submit
a request to the DMs (me and I will distribute).
We will then dictate if you can find the item.
There is also a limit to the number of magic
items that can be brought into the Pit. This
limit is set at four.
