The X-wing is a small, single-pilot starfighter that measures 12.5 meters from nose to engine block. With powerful sublight ion engines, a targeting computer, defensive shields, four winged-tipped laser cannons, and a limited supply of proton torpedoes, the X-wing is fast, highly maneuverable, and extremely well armed. These starfighters are also equipped with hyperdrives for lightspeed travel. An R2 astromech droid assists the starfighter's pilot by monitoring onboard systems, performing routine and emergency maintenance, and even flying the craft when circumstances permit. The Rebel Alliance uses these starfighters.
X-wing starfighter
The Dark Prince Xizor is the Underlord of the criminal organization Black Sun. He is one of the three most powerful men in the galaxy. Xizor is over a hundred years old, but he looks thirty. He is a tall Falleen, having a topknot ponytail jutting up from his otherwise bald head. Like others of his species, he exudes natural pheromones that make most of the human beings feel instantly attracted to him. His skin color, normally a dusk green, changes with the rise of those pheronomes, shading from the cool into the warm spectrum. Xizor claims that Darth Vader is responsible for killing his entire family with a biological weapon. And now he wants to kill Luke Skywalker, Vader's son. Not simply for revenge, but to become the first one in the eyes of the Emperor. He often says, "to contend with Xizor is to lose."

XTS is Xizor's legitimate shipping operations, among the largest in the galaxy. It receives much of the money from Black Sun's illicit activities.
