Update Archive

Why in the scope of imaginability you would want to look at older updates is beyond my comprehension. It's just one of those things that draw you in. Well, that draw me in, anyway. And as I type it still seems like a reasonably good idea. Here's what's been happening since the beginning of the page.

(September 17, 2000) We've updated the Lan Mesinsure Gallery with several new pictures. None of them unveil any races, so there's no need to update the Races pages with reference links. We've also fixed the Art Gallery links and added a few.

(September 14, 2000) We've added links to both Legends of Xeplin and Protectors to the Library section (below.) Also, I changed the e-mail address for me, which I should've done a long time ago. Icicella will have hers up soon, as well. She just has to get one first.

(September 9, 2000) We were asked for a list of what's been updated race-wise, so we'll make it now. Janias and Efreets were added to the General Races, Sylphs to the Fairies, Serpenthropes to the Werefolk, Egyptian Afterlives (3 subs) to Ethereality, and Unravelers to the Undead.

(September 4, 2000) We're still upping the page. Look at all the new crap we got! A whole new page on Golems, some additions to the other Races pages, and Gargoyles fanfics. Are we posh or what? Ew, I said posh. And we're still not done!

(September 3, 2000) Happy Anniversary! It's been a whole year since we started this little ditty, and so we're celebrating with an overhaul! We hope you enjoy the new look and additions to the page.

(August 21, 2000) Aves had a little system crash, but he's managed to keep the new page intact, as only drive C was slagged. Despite the whole thing, he actually has some pictures to add to the Other Pictures section. Remember that? They're all related to the Protectors series, due to arrive here some time or another.

(July 21, 2000) We've added a huge update to the Character Pictures. We're trying to reformat the page now that we have a better builder, but that might be a little while.

(July 22, 2000) Most Races pages have been updated with reference links in correspondence with yesterday's addition to the Character Pictures archive.

(July 10, 2000) I, being so damn good at Diablo II, have made it to Act IV by now, and I've taken a little breather. Icicella is still immersed in Act III right now, so don't expect to hear from her for a while. But while I'm out, I've finally finished and added Mind to the Tales of Lan Mesinsure (it was formerly called Loss of Paradise, if you recall). Check it out if you've got some time.

(June 29, 2000) Well, we'd like to say a little something. First, off, Blizzard has finally shipped Diablo II and we'll both be getting it later this week. Now, being the absolutely huge fans we are of this game, we don't expect to sleep, much less update the page, for a bit. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have a universe to save.

(June 28, 2000) I'm finally free! And with that, I'm proud to unveil two new races pages, Demons and Angels. Also, Keplies have been added to the Fairy page. SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!!

(June 26, 2000) A huge new batch of pictures has been added to the Character Pictures. Well, maybe not terribly huge, but decent. Also, Succubi have been taken off the General Races page in anticipation of the Demon page coming soon. Any Races pages have been updated with reference art.

(June 24, 2000) The Troll and Goblin page has been added, thusly updated the Races page. Also, Wargs, Rocs, Serpentians, and Ch'i-lins have been added to the General Races page, and Basilisks have been separated into Golden and Red.

(June 21, 2000) A whole bunch of races have been added to the Nymph page, and many General Races have been updated with alternate names. We apologize for the lack of updates, and it's basically due to exams. But fear not, for I'm already on summer holidays, and Aves will be out in a few. The Goblins and Trolls page is well underway and nearing completion.

(May 29, 2000) The Djinni have been added to the General Races page and Limonads have been added to the Nymph page.

(May 23, 2000) The Compendium of Werefolk has been added, with several subraces which may be of interest. This has also updated the Races page. And on another note, both Goblins and Trolls have been removed from the General Races page in anticipation of a page of their own.

(May 22, 2000) Happy Victoria Day, Canadians! We've added Treemen, Banshees, and Doppelgangers to the General Races page. Check em out!

(May 18, 2000) The Fairies page has been added to the site outlining different Fairy races. Most are based on Irish folklore. The Races page has thusly been updated. The Nymph page has also been updated with subraces of Dryads.

(May 16, 2000) It has come to my attention that this page is being used as reference for folklore. Therefore, we've developed a system to tell people which ones are actually related to actual folklore. Anything created in a book, movie, etc. will have a * beside its name. Anything we've created for the purpose of the Atlantis series will have ** beside its name. This has been updated every Race page.

(May 11, 2000) The Character Pictures section has been updated with several new additions. Thusly, the Races pages have been updated with reference links to the pictures

(May 7, 2000) Stygian Nymphs and Rock Nymphs (or Petrads) were added to the Nymph Page. Also, the Fairy races were removed, as they are being built a page of their own, which should be added soon.

(May 2, 2000) The General Races page has been updated with the addition of Catwomen of Sor and Genies. We've also redone the Introduction page. It's a joke, really, and you'll get it if you live in or around Canada.

(May 1, 2000) We've added the Undead to the Races page, and have updated all other race pages on Elves, Nymphs and Fairies, Elementals, Spirits, Ethereal, Vampires, and General Races with header graphics to spice them up a bit.

(April 29, 2000) The General Races page has been updated with Griffins which we were surprised to find had not been there before. We've also added to the same page the races of Sirens and Harpies.

(April 25, 2000) Someday, we're gonna get holiday headers in here on time. However, we didn't. Happy belated Easter from Lan Mesinsure. We hope the Easter Bunny was kind to all of you.

(April 15, 2000) Frankly, we were all getting tired of the last header picture, so we made a new one. Also, a few new pictures have been added to the Character Picture section, and the Races pages have been updated with reference art. On another note, it's Aves's birthday today! Happy Sweet Sixteenth, Aves!

(March 23, 2000) We've added a new races subsection on the different Races of Vampires. Thusly, the Races page has been updated with links and stuff. Also, on the Races page, we renamed "the Guide to Miscellaneous Races" to General Races, as the other one seemed kind of degrading.

(March 16, 2000) Wishing you a pre-emptive Happy St. Patrick's Day is the crew here at Lan Mesinsure. Have a good one! We truly hope that your hangover on Saturday morning isn't too bad. (By the way, the raw-egg remedy? Does not work, trust me.) In the spirit of the holiday, Leprechauns have been added to the Guide to Miscellaneous Races and for no apparent reason, the Spirit Kind has been updated with Fog Spirits.

(March 15, 2000) More Character Pictures have been added, just a few. It was, like, five, but whatever. I hope everyone's having a good March Break.

(March 5, 2000) A large addition to Lan Mesinsure has been added. The Rogues of Nephalim now provide in-depth coverage of Diablo and even some of Diablo II! Check out Diablo - The Rogues of Nephalim.

(March 2, 2000) Big news! Our e-mail address has changed. We are now to be reached at jessel@funcow.com and please don't send any mail to our old one, it will not be received as the host no longer exists.

(February 15, 2000) We've updated the Character Pictures of the Art Gallery and redid the whole layout just a bit. Check out new pictures of Lisse, Waterseeker, Witcheye, and more.

Be My Valentine!

(February 13, 2000) Well, happy Valentine's Day, folks, from all of us at Lan Mesinsure. Aside from the usual holiday festivities here at the island, we've updated with our page on Ethereality (ghosts and stuff), and therefore have updated the Races page with a link to it. Watch out for stray arrows!

(February 8, 2000) I've taken down the Legends of Xeplin page. Basically because no one was reading them. Also, Mortal Kombat Nightmares have gone under, so we're taking it off our link list. Other than that, I've got nothing else to say except Happy Chinese New Year.

(January 10, 2000) Good lord! We haven't updated since last millennium! Heeheehee, I always wanted to say that. Well, something like that. Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! From Lan Mesinsure. As for us, we had a rockin Christmas and danced around a big bonfire at New Year's. We made it through the Y2K bug, though. Although a combination of other bugs (flu) and ill-timed birthdays led to our lack of updatation. Sorry. Anyway, Happy New Millennium. Enjoy it.
