Behavior Management

Emotional and Behavior Disorders is the fastest growing disability group. Even among children who do not have a formal diagnosis, we are seeing more and more behavior problems.

There is a lot of overlap between ADHD and ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder). Behavior problems such as ADHD, ODD, anxiety disorder, and depression are not mutually exclusive-- many kids will have more than one of these things going on. In other words, the categories are not always neat and tidy-- the same child may primarily have ADHD characteristics, but may at times show oppositional/defiant behavior, and may have characteristics of anxiety or depression at other times.
