Acceptance of Death RV 10:13

I yoke with my homage your ancient inspiration,
may the praise-songs come, as on the prince’s pathway.
Listen, all ye sons of immortality,
you who inherit the celestial regions.
For the sake of Gods he opted for death,
and for men’s sake he chose not immortality.
They made a sacrifice of this most wise sage,
And Yama gave up his own dear body.

yuje vem brahma purvyam namobhir vishloka etu pathyashva surah|
shrenivantu vishve amritasya putra ye dhameni divyani tasthah||
yame iva yatamene yad aitam pra vem bharan manushe devayantah |
sidatam svam ulokam videne svasasthe bhavatam indave nah ||
pavcha padani rupo anv aroham catushpadim anv emi vratena |
aksharenia prati mima etam ritasya nabhev adhi sam punami ||
devebhyah kam avrinita mrityurm prajayai kam amritam navrinita |
