SWIBCO reported in the August 18 edition of the Puffkin Press that four Puffkins will be going into retirement during the next month. They are: Percy the pig, Tasha the white tiger, Lenny the leopard, and Freddy the tree frog.

SWIBCO announces 5 new Puffkins.
They are: Rupert (Red Dog); Camilla (Camel); Blade (Grasshopper); Petey (Peacock); and Wally (Warthog). They will be available in September.
**June 1, 2000**
SWIBCO retires the following Puffkins:
Cinnamon; Hugs; Kisses; Lucky; Olley; and Tibbs.
**May 17, 2000**
SWIBCO announces 5 new Puffkins.
They are: Candy (pink frog); Callie (calico cat); Lottie (loon); Chalupa (chihuahua); and Owen (snowy owl). They will be available in June. Also announced are the four Halloween 2000 Limited Edition Puffkins: Wolfgang the werewolf; Count the vampire; Esmeralda the witch; and Screech the ghost. This scary foursome will be available in September.
**April 14, 2000**
Word has it that there will be five new Puffkins coming out in late May or early June.
**March 29, 2000**
This weekend, SWIBCO representatives including company president, John Pouleson, will be available to answer questions about Puffkins at Mary Beth's Bean Bag World Collectibles Convention. **March 8, 2000**
In the April 2000 issue of Marybeth's Bean Bag World (inside back cover) there is a picture of the five new Puffkins which will be released. They are Stripes (red, white, and blue donkey), Stars (red, white, and blue elephant), Antsy (anteater), Sherlock (beagle), and Rufus (orange frog).

SWIBCO is having a February drawing for a pair of our most
lovable Puffkin pals, Hugs and Kisses!
According to this week's Puffkin Press dated 2/18/00, one winner will be drawn at random and receive Hugs the white
"love" bear and Kisses the red "love" bear!

This just in from MBBBW, reporting on the New York Toy Fair that is going on right now:
"Paul Schoensee, regional sales manager, for Swibco, Inc., was on hand to introduce the company's new line of Cosmo Bears. Modeled after the popular Cosmo Puffkin, this new 18-inch line of bears will be available in different combinations and retail for about $25. At his first New York toy fair event, Schoensee showed evident pride at the recent news that Puffkins were the second-highest selling plush collectible in Hallmark stores in 1999, which we reported on last week." In a statement released Monday, Feb. 7, Hallmark listed SWIBCO as number two in composite plush sales behind only Ty® Inc. Of course SWIBCO will always be #1 to us!!

**January 23, 2000** Mary Beth's Bean Bag World Monthly website has an article on the New York International Gift Fair. They report that
SWIBCO was on hand with its five new Puffkins, as well as four traditional plush items making their debut at this show - a white cat, a black cat, a tan cat and a brown bear. Hugs & Kisses and Patty & Patrick will be spending Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day 2000 with us. We have heard, however, that there will be different Valentine's and St. Pat's Puffkins for 2001.

The new Puffkins, Puddles the platypus, Swifty the deer, Poppins the puffin, Petals the pink elephant, and Winky the yellow and blue frog were shipped to retailers this week and should be arriving in stores now. Keyrings that were previously unavailable are now being shipped to retailers as well, including the latest styles released for New Years 2000. Whoops, sorry! The newest styles of keyrings (Poppins, Puddles, Swifty, Petals and Winky) are not yet available. We'll let you know as soon as they are.

**December 16, 1999** Puffkins Collectors' Club is holding a contest for all current members. Members need only to send in a postcard from their state, city, or country with their name, address, membership number and telephone number to enter. The prizes include a Mystic, an Armour, or a Puffkin Goodie Bag. All entries must be received by January 7, 2000 and the three winners will be randomly drawn on January 8, 2000 and notified by phone or mail.
